“Absolutely Fantastic Stay - Well Reccomended”
We had an absolutely excellent time att the Leidseplein Hotel. The services from the staff were wonderful and extremely helpful. They were brilliant for instructions, advice and booking our taxi in the morning. The hotel room was absolutely spotless, everything in working condition: and it all came together for a fantastic package. The hotel was very secure, and the location superb: everything you could ask for really. The maid even came in every afternoon to clean our room. The staff were top drawer, wonderfully welcoming - memorised us as individuals, and not judgemental in anything we did, or didn't do. Absolutely perfect. The pubs and clubs nearby were wonderful, and we were more than able to comfortably come and go at all hours of the day. We did! I'd whole-heartedly reccomend the Leidseplein. I'm sure you'll have as great a time as we did!
“Cheap, cheerful and in a great location!”
Me and my boyfriend recently went to Amsterdam for 5 days and stayed in this hotel. We had a massive room with en-suite facilities and two double beds. The hotel's stairs are quite steep, but other than that it was a great little place. I would probably recommend this for younger people who are going to Amsterdam for the nightlife as it's just off Leidseplein square which is full of pub's and clubs. And it is also in walking distance of the main shopping area, the red light district and most other areas of interest. It's also quite close to the Vondelpark which is nice for a walk on a sunny day! Could be loud for people who want an early night as there is a bar underneath the hotel and a coffeeshop opposite, but if you're going for a good time with mates, you probably won't notice. Go to the Dolphin and the Dampkring coffee shops, they're awesome!
“hotel leideseiplein à 1 mn du centre ville à pied”
Pas d'une grande fraîcheur mais accueil excellent et super bien placé à 10 mn du centre ville à pied et dans un quartier animé (faut pas vouloir se coucher de bonne heure). la chambre est spacieuse mais un peu défraîchie mais vu le prix et la situation je recommande cet hotel.
“The perfect Hotel for youngsters”
I would strongly advise that if you are a youngster looking for a hotel in the bar's and clubs this is the best you'll do for the price. The hotel looks out onto the square which has several bars and a few clubs. There's also alot of restraunts within 5 mins walk. Walking into the main centre of Amsterdam the roads are lined with shops and soon you'll be in rembrandt square. Another square with bars and clubs. If i was to go back to Amsterdam theres no doubt i would stay at the same place
“For the 18 - 30 Bracket”
My girlfriend and I travelled to holland and stayed at this hotel. We have stayed here 3 times in the last two years for the following reasons. Firstly we like to party and have it out, this is perfect as it is based outside a nightclub which does not shut until 4am each morning. We dont go to bed until this time. As it closes so late the road is peaceful until 6pm the following day so sleeping in isnt an issue. Secondly it is very well loctaed, if you are going to be visiting coffee shops then the location is brilliant as the best shops in hollad are a 2 minute tram ride or 10 mintue walk away. Thirdly it is also close to places such as the paridiso were world class music acts perform. These make it very attractive hotel and location to stay in if your between 20 - 30 year old. You do have to compramise on the clean levels and very steap stairs which dont make it great for older couples in my opinion. The location and tollerance are what sell this hotel and I will continue to use it for all of my trips to holland in the future.
“Great hotel for the budget traveller looking to party!”
This hotel is at a great location. There are bars and clubs everywhere, there is even one below the hotel! This isn't a 5 star hotel. It's a great place for the budget traveller. It's got all the basic stuff you'll need.
“Leidseplein Hotel - Plus and Minus”
On the plus side, it is conveniently located in the Leidenstradt District near plenty of eateries, pubs and transportation options. Easy walking distance to local attractions and site and even to train station, if traveling light. Hotel staff is most accommodating and friendly; includes European Continental Breakfast and answers to your FAQs. It's an older hotel, with lost of winding and steps, as in most hotels in Amsterdam. Biggest minus is it's right outside Amsterdamned Bar and the party goes on all night. f you like being conveniently located and in the hub of party central, this is perfect for the budget traveller. If you have high expectations, this will not be suit your needs.
“Would definatly recomend”
Hotel staff extremely friendly, they let us keep our bags there before we checked in. We had to check out at 12 but our flight wasnt for another 10 hours and one of the party was ill so the staff kindly looked after her and give her a room to sleep in for free. Hotel is very close to bars and transport and only a 10 minute walk to dam square. It is also 5 minutes away from Vondelpark which is where all the high end shops are. Not the most luxurious of hotels but it was perfect for 4 girls who wanted to sightsee. Would definatly recomend to others
“Basic”
This hotel is probably not to everyone taste as it was noise, dirty and basic BUT it is in a great location in the centre of Amsterdam, all of the major attractions are all within a 20 minute walk and also this was the cheapest hotel we could find.
“Would book again.”
Ideal location, helpful staff, and below average rooms. Take your own towel and maybe sheets because the cleanliness of both are not that good. Location was good but be prepared to hear music from the club downstairs til about three or four in the morning. I would book again but only because i wouldnt plan on being in the room for very much of the trip.
