Although, there is well explained that the single rooms downstairs have shared bathrooms, we should look to a better way to explaining. Comfy, cozy, clean and kind staff :)
We loved it here. We were on the top floor which was a mission to get to but well worth it once you make it! The staff had such a good vibe and were very accommodating and kind. Love the cat theme too, and their mascot kitty :) Location was fabulous, accommodations were amazing, overall vibe was comfy, clean, and cozy. Would absolutely stay there again.

Great room, staff were very friendly and excellent location. Only downside was we were on the top floor and this is old Amsterdam style building with very steep stairs and no elevator.

The stairs to our top floor room were narrow, steep and dangerous - and there was no alternative evacuation route so if there had been a fire we would have been trapped.the room was tiny and had no wardrobe, no cupboards or drawers for clothes - just a rail with coat hangers and a shelf. The tiny bathroom was difficult to use as it had a sloping roof making it difficult to use without hitting my head. The bed was right against a wall so getting in and out of that side was difficult. For two pensioners this stay at this hotel was just a horrible, uncomfortable and frightening experience. And it cost almost £1000 for three nights so we had quite reasonably expected a good hotel and facilities. It was simply a rip-off.

Very walkable to every attractions 10-15 minutes, EVERY staff was very friendly. Like the coziness rather than the commercialize hotel. Very clean too.

Lovely hotel brilliantly situated close to all attractions and eateries in Amsterdam. Wonderful, friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast. Would recommend for singles, couples and friends looking for single, double or triple rooms. Hotel cat (Jacky) also very cute.

We received a very friendly greeting and helpful information upon arrival. All the staff were friendly during our stay. Excellent breakfast prepared fresh each day. Very clean room; small but we expect that in a big city in Europe. Also being an old building there is no elevator, just a very narrow and steep staircase. All transportation needs were either right outside or close. A little noisy at night but again, this is a big city in Europe and that was not unexpected.

Our family if 3 had an incredible stay here. The location was stellar. The staff was phenomenal. Our rooms were clean and the bed was comfy. Private bath was great though the water ran dangerously hot if not careful. We had a fantastic stay and hope to be back!

Friendly welcome, rooms clean with plenty of storage. Great location. Quiet at night (room 9 was a triple at the back, no view as such but worth it for the peace). No complaints! My daughter loved meeting Jackey the cat.

Great affordable hotel in a great location.
A great price and value for money. Great location for trams/buses & theatres/ nightlife. Staff are super helpful and friendly. Dropped a star for comfort as in room 11, a) the the double bed is up against a wall meaning one person (me) climbed in/out from the foot of the bed. b) The private & en suite bathroom is *very* compact’. If these things are important to you and if you have dodgy/hips/ back, then this hotel is probably not for you but you will have to get your wallet out and pay more for somewhere else. Continental buffet breakfast was an extra €12.50 each and a good selection of items on offer.

Nice central hotel
Nice independent hotel in the heart of Amsterdam by the theatres. It’s walking distance to most sights so the location is excellent. We stayed in a triple room which has three single beds. It was comfortable and worked well for us (group of friends). The bathroom is bit small. Breakfast is very nice and we enjoyed the company of the friendly receptionist and the house cat Jackie.

Lovely staff. Room not so great. It’s really just one up from a hostel. All I could hear was the floor above me and noise all night.

This is a lovely hotel with a great location. Walkable to museums and lots of restaurants and cafes. Also right on the tram line to get anywhere else in the city. The lobby is an adorable cafe with coffee always available and friendly staff. We didn’t get the breakfast but it looked good and was a great price. Wine and beer for purchase was a nice bonus too. Would definitely recommend!

This is a really nice place to stay. Staff was more than great, they are friendly and helpful, Jackie was the best. The room could be tight but enough. The place is clean, the only thing is important to know, the stairs… could be a challenge if you have bad knees or if you get a top flor.

The staff was very helpful and were a great help when train strikes were pending that could have caused me a great deal of trouble. When my return flight was cancelled, they did everything they could to help me and made a very big difference. I am very grateful for this. Although not their fault, the neighborhood is noisy at night with a busy restaurant next door and other night spots very nearby. I'd recommend a room on the top floor if at all possible.
