“Better than I expected”

This place is less of a hotel than it is a bar with rooms for rent. That said it was pretty cool! Rooms were very clean. Shared bathrooms on every floor, but even with the hotel full I never had to wait or anything, I think some rooms are en suite which means it is probably only a couple rooms to each bathroom....not to mention the bathrooms were always spotless. Was really surprised to have a decent HDTV in the room with a slew of channels to choose from. Smoking is allowed all over the hotel so the smell is interesting - being Amsterdam. But all in all I expected far worse, and for being right in the middle of the city centre, I'd stay here again.

“Get what you pay for”

This hotel was in a good location, short 5 minute walk to dam square and 10 minute walk to the train station. A lot of construction going on so the area was extremely noisy, so when they started construction at 6 am you weren't sleeping after that. The stairs were more like a ladder, which was not an easy climb with medium sized suit cases. Towels were rock hard, as well as the beds. Overall, we got what we expected for the price, a clean place to sleep and keep our stuff safe.

“Amsterdam short winter break”

easy to find near the train station. staff very friendly and welcoming. very steep stairs to get to the rooms so might not be suitable for some people. smoking is allowed in the rooms so this can be a little off putting for non smokers. friendly bar downstairs, if your room is on first floor there can be some background noise but there were earplugs provided. The hotel is in a busy area close to the Red light district.

“Good central position but those stairs are really uncomfortable!!!!!”

Nice little hotel (only 8 rooms), I was in the top room. Once I got sick and I taught that being situated on a bar in a street full of bars, restaurants and coffee-shops I would not rest but I stayed all day and night in my room and I could regain my health in just one day. Very centrally located to red light district, coffee shops, train station is just 4 minute walk and dam square is only 5 minutes. Room was clean and there was no funny smells. I would have liked a breakfast included with the price even a pre-packed one. The only complaint I have are those stairs, these are so steep that even sober are a challenge let alone after a night drinking and drinking coffee :)

“OK with the price”

It is at great location, right opposite of the train station. However, also because of the great location, it is very noisy at night. The hotel provides free ear-plugs in the room, but it's just so uncomfortable. If you enjoy night life, I think this is a great place. The room locates upstairs, and the staircases are very very steep. Not recommended for girls who has difficulties carrying suitcases up. Room is cleaning enough, the shared bathroom is also clean. Beds are comfortable. Wifi internet speed is good.
