Staff werent very friendly or helpful. Rooms were quite noisy next door, and all around. Room was small, but thats what I paid for and expected. Got charged more at the hotel, than was originally listed. Around €25 more, which was fustrating. Toilets and shower was clean and good however.

No heat working in rooms when outside temperature was 53 Fahrenheit and no hot or even warm water from showers on 2 mornings. Shower was only hot at night or mid day. Told staff about it twice.

Decent for price, had to stay in there sister hotel across the canal called the townhouse though for some reason, but price was good, shared toilet was clean constantly. About 20 minute walk to red light area, but it was just somewhere to sleep would stay again.

Really lovely hotel and helpful staff! It’s about a twenty minute walk to the centre and has many shops nearby. Definitely would stay here again!

the photos look nice, but are certainly not of the room I had, which was across the road in the ‘Townhouse Hotel’. Tired, tatty, and not particularly comfortable, with a rather gruff welcome. Particularly enjoyed the shout up the 3 flights of steep steps (not very friendly to anyone not happy on ladders) of ‘DID YOU FIND THE ROOM?!’ at 10pm when I arrived. Sorry to everyone in the other rooms…! Looks cheap for the area - it’s for a reason.

Worst hotel ever. Was given a room in the townhouse (different building from main). No aeration, beware clautrophobes. RADIATOR IS COLD TO THE TOUCH ON MAX POSITION AFTER HOURS, DEADLY IN THE FREEZING NIGHTS OF AMSTERDAM. Ditched the room for another hotel.

We booked the ITC for a trip in October, on arrival at hotel we were moved to another property. Room was basic, area was good though. Walkable to central if you don’t mind a bit of a walk. Tram is right outside

Liked the property is in the city. Bathroom sort of tight, small sink. Walk up stairs; No elevators. Don’t change daily bedsheets. Smell very disturbing and unfortable smoke from windows. No A/C and therefore need windows open.

When I first arrived at the hotel we basically had to climb up a ladder with our luggage to our room. Once we made it into our room the bed was unmade and there was dirty towels all over the room and left open snacks. They moved us into a nicer room which was kind but the inconvenience remains. Also we're told if we wanted house keep to request it. We did not request it on purpose and they came into the room and moved our stuff which made me feel uncomfortable

Paid more than it’s worth.
Some of the staff are very friendly and helpful - others aren’t. The room was nice and clean although there isn’t any way to control the heat of your room. Signal is very bad in the room for wifi and satellite. Seems very dated eg the carpets and lights.

Not a good stay
The hotel was disappointing in just about every aspect. The room had a strong odor of chemical cleaners in the bedroom area that was uncomfortable even with the window open. The bathroom had a smell a bit like a locker room. The shower was not functional and only offered a drizzle of water, so we had to do all washing using the sink. Walls are thin, so we could hear neighbors. The pillows were thick and lumpy and bent my neck at an uncomfortable angle since they offered no sinking action. I gave up trying to use it and switched to the neck pillow used on the flight over. Beds were narrow, but not a surprise since you could see that in the room photos. WiFi was slow even with simple things like looking up a map location. If we had been there for anything more than a night on a layover, I would have called hotels.com to ask for a refund.

I recommend this place. About 18-22 minute walk to down town area. 8 minute walk to a whole bunch of places. Stairs to top floor can be tricky for a few people.

It worked for two nights. We booked to stay in the ITC but were sent to the Townhouse, which was not what was in the pics or the hotel I booked. The stairs were steep and small (I'm about 5'9"). The room was just enough for a bed. There were three in our party and we made it work. I think I would book again since it was just to sleep and shower. But the price could be a little cheaper.

I’ve stayed at the ITC Hotel before. This time I was given a room in the Townhouse property. I have never experienced such levels of noise. The walls, floors and ceilings are so thin that it sounded like folks were in my room when having a normal conversation in their room. And as folks climb the steep stairs, it sounds like a troop marching up. I also had challenges with the level of servicing of the room. You have to request that your room be cleaned. The first time, the sheets weren’t changed. The second time they failed to leave bath towels in the room. It was a long 8 night stay. I won’t return to this property. While the price is attractive, I’ll spend a bit more for peaceful nights’ sleep and better service.

The front desk staff was really nice, friendly, and helpful. Thank you, you were amazing. The room was kept very clean, the house cleaners came everyday. Clean sheets and towels. The building is kind of old so it has a smell but that is understandable. Carpets are very stained and old but that really didn’t bother us, but just for you to know what to expect. The internet was slow and on our last evening there was no internet at all. The location was excellent, the tram was only steps away, the bars on the corner have good food. But Fridays it gets very busy and very loud until close to 4:00a.m. This hotel property said that it is smoke free, but the tourists in the other rooms were smoking a lot of weed that you could smell it inside your room and hallways. We were very unhappy with that. But overall everything was good.
