Several issues.. hair in the shower..broken toilet seat.. only 1 curtain so light constantly came through at night. Floors were stained and filthy. Pillows were lumpy. The building stank was absolutly awful thankfully our room didnt smell ! No tea or coffe facilities. Torn and dirty towels provoded. Shower flooded bathroom eachtime we used it. Was a nightmare really

this is NOT an hotel, there’s not a reception, the place smells mold that you can’t even breathe, we stayed there for 10minutes and leave, of curse we didn’t get a refund even tho we didn’t stayed there, the door for the room was broken, the entry did not have a lock, or lets say it did but was also broken, this was a joke!

After reading all the awful reviews we were very stressed about what we would find on arrival. The hotel is dilapidated, the hallway is pretty gross but the actual room was ok. Its basic at best, dated and not amazingly clean. To be honest, we paid about £40 per person per night for a very central place to sleep and while i wouldnt queue up to stay there again it was cheap and budget friendly.

A stay of 3 nights (double single room / beds) that turned out to be a nightmare. Room was extremely dirty and dusty - From floors to ceiling. Hard to breath due to the dust and old "wet mold" smell. Bathroom was renovated and clean so that was indeed great.. There was hair in the bed. Pillows were not clean and smelled old mold. Mattresses were old and disgustingly stained. To get new towels (even if others were dirty) we were to be charged for it. Horrible black mold could be seen around the entrance, up the stairs. If you have children or suffer from asthma do NOT book this hotel. Not worth the risk. I do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Hotel Management needs to put some effort into making sure they invest in and keep up with basic hotel stuff e.g. clean mattresses, bed sheets and pillows, clean and dust.

Awful hotel
Photos and description looked okay and price while cheaper than other options (£100 a night), so we weren’t expecting the ritz, we at least expected what we paid for through the booking website. To say it didn’t meet the basic description or the photos used is as understatement. You have to check in at the neighbouring hotel blossoms. The actual entrance to this hotel looks like the entrance to a halfway house. On our second night we saw a rodent in the foyer which we reported to the sister hotel reception. The carpets are stained and it’s generally filthy. The hotel made us pay a €50 deposit for damages which in hindsight was hilarious given the general state of the room. Onto our room. Very small with radiator not attached to wall it just sits on the floor. No drink making facilities (we were sold that there was) and actually we were told no drinks allowed in the room. Not even a coffee?! The linen looked okay on the whole as did the towels but the double Bed was in two halves with a topper and they don't stay together so drift about. I had to remake the bed each morning as we were falling down the gap. The hotel did not remake the bed or sheets once over the 3 nights The curtains do not draw to close and cover all the windows I had to use hair clips to get them to stay shut over the windows and stay in place while we slept or got changed but there was still large gaps which let in light from the traffic below. The window did not shut properly so it Let in road noise

Area is great its right by the Heineken museum The matress was poor so we didnt sleep very well and you can hear everyone comming in due to the front door slamming and the stairs echo around the building with everyone comming and going. We only used the room to sleep and was out all day so it will do for a night or 2 break by our 3rd night we were ready to go home and have a good nights sleep

The hotel is located just a block away from a tram station and the Heineken Experience. A couple of blocks from several Museums. Several dinning options close. Room was ok, but the bathroom was very small. Front desk is at a different location, but overall a good experience.

Our first room had stains and hair all over the bed and rubbish underneath so we asked to switch (the staff member at this time was very kind!) Second room was equally filthy with a disgusting stained ceiling and a hairdryer that nearly blew up in our hands. How ever this room was "even better" as we had air con! But had to go to another hotel to get the singular remote. The entire place is stained, filthy and the whole atmosphere felt unsafe. Especially with no reception except located in a seperate hotel down the road. Really enjoyed our multiple trips in the rain to speak with the desk. We had to pay immediately to stop elsewhere (shout out to ibis styles just down the road! Legends) We DID get our deposit (€50 surprise on the door!) back, as well as the city tax. How ever we haven't received any support or much information for a refund for the stay. When we were complaining, the staff on the desk were dead silent, no apology, they know how bad it was.

A very disappointing stay
This was a very disappointing stay for me, my wife and a family member who had another room. First the good things. Hot water in the shower on demand and fairly comfortable bed. Now the bad. The check in was in a property a couple of buildings close. The check in process wasn't a problem but this in itself has other repercussions because on two nights in a row another guest or guests started smoking in the building. Rooms had air conditioners, not working. There is only one window (that doesn't open) and a ventilation shaft in the room that for some reason the other side is inside the building, on the stairs. That is why the smell of smoke entered our room. That ventilation shaft is not enough and without the air conditioning working, the room always felt damp and the humidity didn't had anywhere to scape. There was a hair dryer in our room. Didn't work. I ask the other family member and he didn't even had hair dryer in his room. And the most disappointing aspect is the state of the hotel. It's looks very run down. Scratches on most walls, thing broken, the vertical post of the handrails some were broken, the carpets in a lot of places were scratched, the door to enter the building sometimes didn't close and in my room 303 the headboard of the bed had a nail with the head out. You can get a bad cut with that. I'm really sorry to give this review. Me and my wife are very forgiving for this stuff. It gives me no pleasure. Please give love and care to your business.

Disappointed is an understatement
The only thing that was good about this hotel was the location and the lady at the front desk of blossom hotel was very polite and helpful. Other than that I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, the room was in poor condition, extremely tiny and barely any space. Two tiny pillows and a duvet that only covered one person fully. No kettle or mirror in the room. Only one mirror in the bathroom. When you turn the shower on, the water would spray all over the bathroom to the point that the floors were soaking wet and the toilet got a daily wash from it too. Very noisy as we were on the ground floor by the entrance so constantly kept hearing the front door being slammed shut. Our key card also stopped working numerous times but we did manage to sort this out by going to blossom hotel each time it failed to let us in our room. The towels are tiny and the linens in general didn’t look clean at all. Luckily I had my own pillow case to cover what looked like a dirty one. The room would only get cleaned if you contact the hotel so basically on request otherwise it doesn’t get cleaned. Disappointed is an understatement. We did try to cancel the booking but hotels.com did nothing to push for it and just tried to blame the hotel. A real lack of customer service on hotels.com’s part.

Great location, lovely staff, nice cat! small room with a few hooks to hang clothes on, a few coat hangers would have been useful. window into the stairwell means its quite loud in the room at night but it was clean enough and a great place to sleep & shower whilst exploring Amsterdam. No problems with it but not a place to stay if you want somewhere to hang clothes/ spacious room.

Don't bother... They need to revamp their accommod
Cob webs in the corners, mould In the bathroom, can see previous leaks In the ceiling, broken door frame, stained mattresses and so on... They did not put any bed sheets down, but duvet covers down as a bed sheet... A duvet cover is not as wide as a bedsheet, so you turn and the duvet comes off and exposes stained mattresses.. everyone one was badly stained. You get what you pay for. I would stay again
To start with this will be a positive review for all those who feels hopeless like me after booking. So you know by now that prices are mad in AMS. In here you get what you pay for - considering the location. Possibly on the outskirts of the city you might get more value for your money but if you want to be in the center and close to attractions then this is an OK place to stay. I read all the review so we came prepared 😀 we got our own towel and bedsheet 😂 towels and bedding indeed had some holes or stains BUT they were washed! Simply they extremely old and used. Room is small but work a 2-3 it would do unless you carry a lot of bags. We had just two backpacks so it was ok for us. Room is old but our one (we might have been lucky) was definitely cleaned and there was no dust or dirt. Bathroom was cleaned nicely too and shower had hot water and good pressure. You do need to use one towel to put it on the floor as indeed there is no door to close the shower so floor gets wet easily. We closed the door to the bathroom when we were leaving for the day so the unpleasant smell didn’t go to the room but to be honest in our case it wasn’t anything that horrible that you could not stand. There were curtains in the windows and you could open them the air the room. I do recommend taking a flip flops as you can see that carpet is old and even when hoovered dirty and unpleasant to walk bare foot. Our own bedsheet helped as it connected two single beds and made sleeping more comfortable

The staff were amazing, very willing to accomidate us and fix whatever shortcomings we had with the property. The facilities however not so much... The plumbing was bad and they should really change the carpet it wqs discusting. That would really make a difference with this property. The area is nice and the people were great!

CHEAP STAY BUT NOT RELAXING
The room is quite small and the shower drain was clogged, no shower screen so when you shower water goes everywhere and starts to puddle where the toilet is so I have to put the towel on the floor to absorb it. My room is in the fifth floor without elevator so it is hard to move the baggages. However, great location with lots of amenities within walking distance. - Bring your bed sheet and towels - Suitable for people with small baggages. - Short stay

Look, this place is what it is. Cheap for the location. We stayed during a heatwave, the room didn’t have A/C which was a killer. The rooms were not made up over night and we didn’t receive fresh towels. romantic weekend away, forget about it. Lads cheap trip who only want a bed to sleep, PERFECT.

Room was tiny, bathroom was in a closet with a hole in the sliding door. no shower screen so when you shower water goes everywhere and starts to puddle where the toilet is, there was a little excrement on the floor when we arrived, had to clean ourselves. Old food under the radiator. Hairdryer didn't work at all. All round poor hotel, recommend not staying here.

Great as a basic and cheaper place to sleep in central Amsterdam. Room was small and could do with a bit of maintenance, but fine as a place to sleep. Great location with lots of amenities within walking distance.

Good basic room with small but nicely updated bathroom. Hotel is on a very busy street, but no noise from the street came into our room. Noises within the building were a problem. Our room had a window onto the stairwell, and all noises from or around the stairwell were carried clearly to our room.

We understand that Amsterdam is a crowded and busy city, but we still surprised by how small the room was, with a window that didn't open. The Room smelt of cigarette smoke, the bed sheet was torn. The staff were very helpful though. I will not be coming back.

Staff were excellent, friendly and polite but the quality of this property is poor. Not worth the price paid per night and room smelt damp, water from shower drained away very slowly and cobwebs/spiders across the ceiling.
