“Great Service, Great Place!”
I met many different members of staff (due to staff rotations) and they were all friendly and helpful. Its located in a great area, there is a lot choice; Eg. restaurants, pizzeria's, fast food, snacks, currency exchange, coffee shops, red lights etc etc... Final verdict, you get what you pay for and this place delivers extremely good value for money and a quality of service I have had in hotel's of much higher "stars". Loved this place, im returning next year!
“très bien”
hotel simple mais propre très bien situé au coeur de la ville
“2 days in the Dam!”
Hotel is idealy placed if you like your cafes... although on exiting the red-light district you do have to walk past one of the best cake shops I have ever been to... so be prepared to put some weight on!
“Great location close to Dam Square”
Very small hotel with a very friendly hotel staff. You do have to give the key to the staff when you leave but after the first day they remembered us and had it ready when we got to the desk, this sounded like a pain but ended up being less of a hassle when it comes to possibly losing your key. The bed, blanket, and pillow are very comfortable, and the shower is nice but the bathroom is a tiny bit cramped. All in all a great hotel on an hourly motel budget.
“Not a bad little place right in the heart of things”
I liked this hotel a lot for its location. However, with blood on the blanket the first night we got there it is definately a place you want to check the sheets first. Oh well such are most places in Europe.
“Great value for money!”
The hotel was very clean, warm and tidy. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any enquiries we had about our excursions on a daily basis. We had access to the hotel 24 hours. We will definately use this hotel again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.
“great location”
excellent location, right in the middle of everything! just dont drive to it with a sat nav as it will have you in the canal in no time!!
“comfortable cheap great location”
the first thing to say about this hotel is the location is amazing. Very close to bars and coffee shops and loads of places to eat literally next door. spoilt for choice whether you wants chips pizza or bakery goodies. the staff are also so friendly. ive stayed here twice and will book here again for any future trips. great value and great location and they have the most comfortable beds what more can you ask for
“Definitely my choice in future”
We honeymooned in Amsterdam, and I booked through expedia with only info gained from online. This hotel has a FANtastic location..couldn't have chosen better. Non-smoking, but a place to smoke on 3rd floor roof. We are from Newfoundland, Canada - and we had no trouble finding our hotel from any excursions....next door to Dam Square. The best hotel for anyone looking for the Coffee Shops and Red Light District....can't wait to return on our 5th anniversary!! Will definitley return to this hotel.
“Great Value for the Location”
A girlfriend and I stayed here for a week during a recent trip to Amsterdam. We shared a double bed and found the room to be everything we needed. Spacious, very clean, decent sized bathroom. The location can't be beat - - a 2 minute walk to Red Light District one direction and 2 minutes to Dam Square the other way. If I return to Amsterdam, I would definitely stay here again. Only con is the street noise can be somewhat loud during the night but we were never disturbed by it.

Dam Square - Central Station, Amsterdam, Netherlands: The bustling heart of Amsterdam, this district attracts hordes of visitors teeming from Centraal Station to Dam Square and its beautiful Nieuwe Kerk (14th-century). The oldest part of town, Oude Zijde, is famous for its Red Light District, but the University and the docks bring a different kind of colour and buzz to the narrow streets.
