This is a filthy, bedbug-ridden hotel with paper-mache walls located in a nice area. The television and refrigerator didn't work.

The quality compared to the price, coupled with a quiet location in the Museum Quarter, makes this an absolute bargain. It’s a gem I’ll be staying at again.

Be prepared! This property charges additional fees when you arrive, so just because you thought you had paid the hotel fee and all taxes and all fees, they charge you an additional fee that if you don't pay they will deny you your room. Highway Robbery!!! Stay away!

A good value stay. Great location, friendly service, and fair price. Only issue was that the room was quite dusty and felt like a good vacuum clean was required.

Great price. Very basic hotel. NOT air conditioned. Mattresses were flimsy. Super thin walls, can hear people talking in the hallway. Took us a while to figure out how to turn the heater on.

Great budget stay
The staff were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was excellent. The room I stayed in was clean and a good size, but was warm even though it wasn't summer.

Clean hotel with good quality wifi. Staff were very accommodating and helpful. Coffee and tea in the lobby was a nice touch. Nice location, walking distance to Vondelpark and museums as well as a tram station.

Great access to vondelpark, trams a short walk away and plenty of shops or sightseeing close by. Staff were all lovely, my room was super nice also :D will be back again for sure

Great overnight experience
It was a great overnight layover hotel. Easy access to the museums and the park is steps away. Everything is in walking distance. The front desk was helpful and lent me a power plug converter. They switched my room when the a/c unit wasn’t working. I would stay there again.

Very close to Vondelpark and museums. We had no hot water for one day which was inconvenient. Very loud area. The neighbours had cats which fought at night time and drunk people were stumbling around the neighbourhood every night.

You Can Do Better
This hotel has a great location near many good restaurants, a huge market, museums, and a very large and beautiful park. But now comes the hard truth: the beds and pillows are so hard they are not fit for those who prefer a soft mattress (line me); they only for much younger guests (in their 20s or 30s). The room is small and hot; the one window only opens a few inches so the nice fan provided does little but move around hot air. There is a foul odor coming from the bathroom that overwhelmed our spray air freshener. The meager breakfast buffet is held in a window-less room with no discernible air movement thus rending it very stuffy and a perfect breeding ground for virus transmission; we therefore ate in our room. The whole experience was certainly not worth the price.

The experience was terribles. We were placed into a room with bed bugs. We realized at 1:30 am our second night that we had an issue we immediately notified the front desk. When notified they had a hard time believing it until we showed proof on video. We were moved into a new room which involves having to pack up and turns our that that room ALSO had bed bugs. As a result, I had bed bug bites all over my body. The bites are extremely itchy, and do not show up right away. This cost me, as I had to purchase medication for the bites. Ended up staying two out of four days before checking out early, in the middle of the night. When confronting the night manager about the issue it was disclosed to me by the night time manager at the hotel that the hotel fully knew that their rooms were infested with bed bugs and still are putting arriving guests in the room hoping they would not notice. They didn’t offer to pay for our next hotel as we were choosing to leave the bed bug infested hotel. This is bad practice and terrible experience on the guest end. I would not recommend staying here as the property is dirty, with stained carpet in the room, and the hotel staff is dishonest. I recommend to spend your money elsewhere.

A good hotel to sleep and freshen up
The hotel was nice for a place to sleep/change/wash one a city trip. The beds were comfy and the room was a good size. The shower wasn't great the temperature was inconsistent - either scolding or cold! But not the end of the world. No air con but we did find a fan in the wardrobe that was quite dusty until we turned it on and filled the room with dust... No toiletries in the bathroom which was fine as we brought our own but there was no soap...

Hotel is in a really good location for sight seeing, it’s away from the centre so quiet at night but close enough still to walk into the centre or hop onto a tram. The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was nice. The room was clean and was made up every day. The shower tray was broken and had a hole in which meant that when you stepped into it stagnant water came out which made the shower really smelly. Other than that we could not fault the place.

The only good thing about this place is location (Museum Quarter), everything else was terrible. The room was tiny and not clean, we found someone's sock on the floor. There was no AC, it was so hot we couldn't sleep at night, even with the window open. The shower door was missing, extra effort was required to not splash water around. Bad soundproofing also.

After reading the reviews I had low expectations about staying but I want to emphasise that it was actually really great accommodation. A little overpriced but in Amsterdam you can’t be fussy. Honestly apart from the lack of air conditioning it was so fine! Would happily stay again.
