The hotel is in a great location, the staff are very friendly and helpful and as long as you don't have any mobility problems - because the stairs are quite steep - I would defiinitely recommend this hotel.

“Great Amsterdam hotel with a reasonable cost”

Great hotel, great staff and great location. I'd stay here again. We stayed in a triple room that was very large by European standards. We had use of a hotel computer that actually worked, and the staff was not only courteous but informative and helpful.

“Good hotel for price/location”

This is a nice hotel with a few quirks that should be noted. The price and location are excellent - you really are within reasonable walking distance of most everything Amsterdam has to offer, and the tram location is literally just behind the hotel off the Rembrantplein. Some things to note: The hotel is actually in several buildings and so you may actually be housed somewhere other than the "check-in" building. The larger rooms (quads) do not face the canal, which was disappointing but not surprising. Directly behind the hotel are several restaurants and the Rembrantplein which is very convenient. Note that there is also a nightclub directly behind the building and on Saturday is pounded bass beats through the walls until 5am. Thankfully, that was the only day but this is an important point to be noted! Even with that I was still ok with the hotel given the price and convenience. I also used this hotel with two small children and the amenities were acceptable, although the stairs are very steep (old building). I would recommend it although I would note to potential visitors the club, stairs, and building locations that may limit the view.

This hotel has a great location and scores well on price/quality. It is not high class but we stayed there with 2 little kids and found it very accomodating and comfortable.

“OK hotel but hate the stairs”

The location of the hotel was great. The hotel was clean and the room was clean and comfortable. Our only complaint was that the room was on the third floor and the steps were like climbing a ladder. The was no staff to help with the bags and getting them up the stairs was terrible. It would have been easy to fall down the stairs even without bags. As long as you were prepared for the stairs, the rest was OK.

“Good location”

The hotel was in a good location, with easy access to everything. We were kept awake all night by the people above us though, you could hear everything. When they walked around the coffee cups nearly fell off the shelf in our room so was terrible nights sleep. Night staff were lovely.
