The hotel was clean, staff friendly and the breakfast was decent. It's location right in the heart of the red light district meant everything was in easy walking distance.

“Pleasantly surprised”

Lovely quiet room - spacious and clean with its own bathroom - not sure why they upgraded me when I booked a single room unlikely to have its own bathroom, but didn't question too closely! Stairs very steep - it is an old townhouse - and there is no lift for luggage. Breakfast served 9-11am which isn't ideal if you're there for work. Local area lively and almost entirely unthreatening to lone female traveller. Very good experience.

“My stay”

I thought I would have to share a bathroom, that wasn't the case . I ended up with a large room, with an ensuite. Nice airy feeling. I was right in they heart of the red light district but was not disturbed by the noise. I travelled on my own found the hotel really easily and was not intimidated being a female on her own in Amsterdam for the first time...be prepared to climb stairs...it's Amsterdam !

“Save your money and go to a hostile. It will probably be better.”

This was buy far the worst place I have ever stayed, including from when I was in the military. If you are planning on staying here, just find a hostile instead. You are supposed to turn your room key in to the front dest before you go out. You have community bath rooms and this place smells terrible.
