“Well worth it”
This hotel is a really nice place to stay, I was far enough out of the middle of Amsterdam to make it an interesting Tram ride in or a 15-20 minute walk if you avoided the coffee shops on the way. There was good service at breakfast with the usual array of Dutch breakfast food. There were many good restaurants close by (20mtrs) and a little Dutch Koeken shop next door to the hotel. I'd definately reccommend this hotel to any one, young or old.
“Can't wait to go back”
This was the 2nd time we stayed there. First time was great, 2nd time again was great. Thanks to Expedia. We'll be going again in October. It has quaint resturants around the corner and the tram 1 block south of the place. Well worth it.
“Good hotel, attractive price”
This is a hotel, I was exactly looking for. Close to attractions, but not in the middle of the crowd. Price was very reasonable. Rooms are not big; it is not easy to move around after keeping luggage in the room, but in Amsterdam center, this is understandable. Wi-fi in the lobby worked fine. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
“best area”
the hotel is located in the heart of Amsterdam, and as u know Amsterdam is a city were u will enjoy just walking down streets shopping, even i got 72 hours pass i didn't use it that much i prefer just walking and walking. Artis Zoo which is opposite to the hotel is a must see thing, entrance fees is more than any museum but it is worth it i spend more than 4 hours their. also don't miss the tropical museum which is a near by 2.
“Great deal for Amsterdam with kids”
Convenient and comfortable. Could not believe what a good deal. We skipped the hotel breakfast as there were many nice little breakfast spots in the area (and we could all eat for the price of one hotel breakfast). Safe quite neighborhood and a tram stop nearb, but also a nice stroll into town.
“Great Place to Stay”
Room was small but clean and sufficient. Beds were comfortable. Great view and excellent neighborhood. Absolutely no complaints. Would definitely stay here again.
“Eden Lancaster Hotel Review”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Amsterdam at the Eden Lancaster Hotel. We booked the room through Expedia and had no idea what to expect. The room was not big, but we had no intention of spending our time there. The hotel was within walking distance of just about everything. They could have spent a little more time cleaning the room, but overall everything was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions. We were very fortunate. One of our passports was lost and staff directed us to the nearest Police Station. Not only did they find the passport, but the Police were extremely helpful as well. We will definitely stay at the Eden Lancaster Hotel again if we are fortunate enough to return to Amsterdam.
“Hotel in nice area”
We had a 4 night stay at the eden lancaster hotel in amsterdam which we found far better than expected after having read some reviews. the hotel was updated in 2008 so was clean bright and had brought the modern deco in with the old style. staff were friendly and helpful. some might have thought our room was on the small side but it was fine as we spent our time out and about. the hotel is situated in a nice area where trams go very frequently into amsterdam centre. a short walk away was a canal where there is a restaurant and there was ample other restaurants as well. we decided to have breakfasts at a little shop very close by as we were not prepared to pay the cost of the hotel breakfast. if we were to visit amsterdam again we would go back to eden lancaster hotel as it is just 10minutes by tram from the centre of amsterdam. we were able to leave our cases in the luggage room so being able to enjoy another whole day sight seeing. there was a computer for visitors use which was helpful and free of charge.
“Watch the sunset & ocean while having cocktails on the deck.”
The hotel staff was very friendly and effecient. The convenience of obtaining drinks and meals within the hotel was much appreciated by our entire group.
