“Great location, good price”

Location was very convenient; the hotel should emphasize its location more. The bathroom was tiny and needs to be better configured. I could hardly sit on the toilet and close the bathroom door.

“Good enough”

This is more like a family owned hotel and don't expect a Hilton, Sheraton etc. It has a steep stairs and those who have back problems or knee problems etc you will have to be careful. Rooms are very small. Just enough to put your suit case and small bag. Most importantly, the room was clean and great location. Museums are nearby but also other destination like Ann Frank House, Red Light District etc. is just nearby. For someone who is looking for a great location, friendly staff members, won't stay in the room all day but just need a place to sleep, don't want to be in the middle of the chaos like Red Light District, don't want to spend lots of money and convenient for transportation; then this place would do it and I was not disappointed.

Rooms was a little dirty (walls), but the bed and towels were clean. Noisy location on Friday and Saturday nights. But great location and super helpful staff.

“Recommended: Freeland Hotel in Amsterdam”

We arrived with heavy luggage, and when the staff saw that, they immediately changed our room from the 4th floor to the 2nd floor. As the hotel has no elevator, this kindness saved us a lot of struggle, and we really appreciated it. The hotel is in a great location---we arrived by train, and followed the easy directions (one quick tram ride) to the Freeland. Once our luggage was secured, we found that we were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to go quite easily. The Rijks Museum and Van Gogh Museum are a quick walk away; the Anne Frank Museum is a bit further, but still quite walkable. Shops and restaurants are an easy walk from the hotel. The Freeland serves a Dutch breakfast each morning (coffee or tea; hard boiled eggs; meats/cheese/toast), which gave us a good start to our day. Internet worked well in our room, and there is a computer at the lobby level for guests' use. We were able to print boarding passes using the hotel printer. We would definitely stay here again!
