“Worth The Splurge!!”
I had a fantastic experience with this hotel. The perfect mix of historical character and modern design! My room was absolutely amazing! Spacious yet cozy, super comfortable bed, ambient, gorgeous bath.....I could live there no problem! My only semi complaint would be that the garden area was still under construction. That would have been the cherry on top. Never the less, wonderful overall experience and when I return I would definately come back. I would recommend Canal House to anyone.
“Just perfect!”
Beautiful place, great location and nicest staff we've met.
“brand new (6 weeks old) beautifull hotel”
very beautifull hote, with helpfull staff that try their best to satisfy. amsterdam is very smal - so everything is nearby, but it's not the most central place. we took a big room, so everything was very confertable. the hotel is airconditioned (contrary to the room amenenties on expedia) since it's an old building - you will always have some stairs.
“great hotel”
It is a great hotel. with beautiful contemporary interiors and cosy atmosphere. unique I've been there twice and each time everything was perfect - the room, very friendly and professional stuff, the food. I would definitely recommend this hotel especial for romantic holidays!
“Amsterdam at your doorstep”
We stayed in what is described on the website as a Great Room, which was just lovely. All amenities in the room were very modern. A good night's sleep is guaranteed in the supremely comfortable bed, which had the best pillows of the holiday - so important! Breakfast consisted of a buffet meal, with cereals, yoghurt, meats and cheeses, toast, a cooked egg if requested, juices, tea, coffee, etc. Don't expect a cooked English-style breakfast. The staff were pleasant and helpful with local information, purchasing tickets, booking a taxi, assisting with luggage. Staff are available 24 hours a day. When we had minor problems (not being able to open the front door late at night or being unfamiliar with the particular way something functioned) we were helped immediately.

Canal Ring, Amsterdam, Netherlands: The classic Amsterdam image of stately canals, the Canal Loop is principally the Herengracht and Keizersgracht, lined with gracious tall 17th and 18th-century houses. Some of these are now museums, most notably the eccentric Kattenkabinet. The Amstel is a more down-to-earth waterway, lined with houseboats and famous for its classic muchphotographed Magere Brug (Skinny Bridge). The floating Flower Market is also a much-loved canal feature.
