“Lovely Hotel in Great Location”
This is a lovely, modern hotel in a fantastic location- the museum district- beautiful buildings and tree-lined residential streets right around the corner from the Van Gogh museum but just a short 15 minute walk to the canal boats, restaurants, etc. It's on the opposite side of town from the Central Train station but the public tram is clean, modern and efficient- just hop on and pay your fare. The front desk is very helpful directing you to ethnic restaurants within walking distance or a local bakery where you can get coffee and a huge selection of goodies in the morning. Very classy.
“Excellent hotel”
Having read a previous bad review entitled 'Pooh' I was a little concerned. However, I found our room extremely comfortable, quiet and very clean. The Museum area is very pleasant with good shops, a supermarket and eating places nearby. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. We did not have breakfast as I did think it was a bit expensive, so I cannot comment on that. You can hop on a tram or bus from the end of the street. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.
“Great hotel”
Stayed for 4 nights in very cold, snowy weather. Hotel very warm and comfortable in a quiet area. Wonderful location for museums and trams. Staff very friendly and helpful. Efficiently run hotel. Had a lovely time.
“Wonderful Hotel Bilderberg”
Lovely hotel, situated in a nice and safe area. Most of the staff were nice and polite, with the exception of a few (especially at breakfast). Breakfast could be a little more exciting, and the dining room is a little too small for the size of the hotel. Other than that, one of the nicest city hotels I have stayed in and would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone (not families). The cleanliness was wonderful and the beds so comfortable! We were upgraded to a larger room, and this was fantastic! Thanks to all at the Bilderberg.
“Great location and family friendly”
We liked everything about the hotel. We had a very comfortable room and the location was perfect. The only downside is the 17 euro charge for one day of internet. That's very high! Other then that we had a great stay
“splendid”
we shall return.
“Charming Hotel”
Third time I've been there. Always a delightful experience. The staff is outstanding and the hotel is charming.
“Immaculate, upscale, modern, tiny rooms”
We enjoyed our stay here. The rooms, though tiny, are efficient and very modern. We faced the street and had a nice big window. The lobby, and the downstairs rooms were all nicely decorated. Service was excellent and we got a lot of good advice. Breakfast was expensive, 16 euros, so we did not bother but the basement breakfast room was also very pretty.
“Excellent location”
We were close to museums, some shopping, canal boats and bus tours. The rooms were small. The one that we reserved needed to be upgraded to fit our suitcases (we had more than usual because of the beginning of our trip) and even at that it was small. We had airconditioning..... a plus in the unusually hot weather. The breakfast was nicely done and a small restaurant for light meals helped immensely our first night.
“VERY Impressed... yet again!”
This was my fourth trip to Amsterdam and I have stayed in this hotel each time because it has everything I was looking for. Great rooms, very nice staff, and an unbeatable location! Can't wait to come back again!!
