“Prochaine fois j'irais au printemps”

Superbe petite ville pleine de charme, avec son port! Un superbe cadre en bord de mer, gelée en hiver. Dommage qu'il y avait un brouillard si épais. L'hotel est très coquet, le service irréprochable, rien à redire non plus sur le confort!!!

“Quaint seaside hotel”

Absolutely loved this little hotel! Decided to stay in Volendam during the Queen's Day festivities in Amsterdam to save money. Got off the bus in Volendam to a a quaint seaside city. There are amazing pubs, several stores, and a beautiful view of the harbor from almost every angle. Hotel is located in an old fishing wharf building - beautifully well kept and restored. My friend and I had a room that slept 4 people at the corner of the building. Room had wonderful natural lighting and an amazing view over the water. We could not believe the hotel had only 2 and a half stars. It was clean, well decorated, spacious... a little piece of heaven on our trip. Not sure if all of the rooms were like ours, but we were very pleased! Definitely worth the bus ride... and you also get to see a totally different "face" of Holland.

“A magical place!”

I love the Spandaar. I've stayed there 3 times and will go back. The staff is warm and welcoming, the hotel is charming, the location is perfect and the food is delicious!

“Nous n'avons pas pu manger au restaurant de l'hôtel”

Nous avons été déçus car nous n'avons pas pu manger au restaurant de l'hôtel; une grande partie du restaurant était occupée par une soirée privée. Nous avons trouvé la chambre un peu petite, ainsi que le coin toilette (pas de porte seulement une porte style Western!)

“Great Find”

Charming hotel and very helpful, courteous staff. Great views over the lake and a balcony to enjoy them from. And all just a short bus ride from the centre of Amsterdam, in a village that tourists visit. My ONLY reservation was that the room was very slightly underheated - not cold. Packed with artwork on the walls, making the place really distinctive.

“Bonne situation, décoration unique en son genre !”

L'hôtel est au bord du lac, l'hôtel offre de belles prestations : sauna, hammam, piscine jusque 21H30, la décoration composée de multiples toiles est unique en son genre et personnalise d'emblée l'endroit. Les chambres sont bien pourvues ( seul bémol l'insonarisation), le buffet proposé est riche et varié. Personnel souriant et aimable.

“Breakfast”

The breakfast in the mornings was poor value. It would be better to have breakfast out, also much less cost. Overall the hotel meals were expensive.
