“Best Western Blue Square Hotel Noël 2010”
Nous avons passé 2 nuits à cet hôtel et étions très satisfait de la situation de notre chambre ainsi que de l'hôtel en général. La seule chose qui est regrettable est que l'hôtel entier est non fumeur, il n'y a même pas un coin fumeur. En hiver très désagréable. Je trouve aussi que pour un hôtel de cette catégorie on ne laisse pas les gens dehors pour fumer une cigarette. Cela ne donne pas une bonne impression de voir les gens grelotter devant la porte comme des sans abris ! Ceci dit, je suis NON FUMEUR ! mais tolérant. Quelques chambres devraient être pour fumeurs. Nous ne sommes pas aux Etats Unis. Je connais la chaîne Best Western très bien de là bas.
“Great hotel”
This was our third time staying in Amsterdam and I have to say I was happy I chose to stay at this hotel. The staff was great, the place was exceptionally clean which is very important to me, and the room was very up to date (new furniture, tv etc. etc.). Only draw back was that it was little far from the center but we took the 15 min train ride down. I highly recommend this place.

“Great hotel”
We had a great experience at this hotel. Its about 15 minutes by bus and a bit more by tram into the city centre, but the surrounding areas were also really good for eating and drinking. So, if you dont mind using public transport Id stay go for it. The service was great and we had the breakfast one morning, which was a good choice of hot and cold buffet. If you have breakfast in the city centre it would cost you more, so I would definatley reccommend it!!! The people at reception were lovely and gave great advice for transport and opening times. The room was serviced everyday and everything was spotless. Great hotel and will definatley be staying here on my next visit to amsterdam!!!
“Very comfortable hotel in a pleasant suburban area.”
The interior is very nice and looks like a fairly recent refurbishment. The room was very clean, fantastic bathroom with a very spacious shower cubicle. Excellent soundproofing. The hotel is in a reasonably nice quiet suburban area which is only 15 mins from Dam square by tram. The hotel is only two train stops away from schipol airport. Disembark at Amsterdam Sloterdijk station and there is the No.19 bus which goes past the hotel. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
“Best Western Blue sq Amsterdam, very good”
Nice clean hotel, would recommend. Be sure to know thats it's good 20 minutes No 14 tram ride into the centre.It was not a problem to us. Would recommend that you buy a train and bus pass on your arrival at the airport. We bought a 96 hour transport pass, this gave us an open return ticket to and from the airport and 96 hour pass on tram, metro and bus service.Would also recommend that you get the maps before you go and study and make notes of the trains or trams you need to catch to various places. Amsterdam is extremely dark in the evenings and i found it impossible to read the map in the night with the poor lighting. If you are going to Anne Franks house buy your ticket on line, the queue is always massive.When you book on line, you walk straight in, you will save yourself an hour and a half queue. The main line station has lockers to lock you baggage away, we found this very useful to leave our bags there having checked outour hotal in the morning and were not flying out till he evening. Hope this info has been useful to travellers, watch the bloody bikes, they will run you over. Roger L
“Excellent rapport qualité prix”
Nous cherchions le meilleur rapport qualité prix et nous l'avons trouvé ! Acceuil trés satisfaisant, de l'acceuil nous a contacté pour nous prévenir afin d'éviter de payer une sur taxe pour dépassement d'heure. Chambre trés confortable. Seul point négatifs, l'hotel se situe à 15 minutes du centre en voiture et le parking et de 15 euros la nuit. Nous avons tout de même réussi à trouver des places gratuites à l'extérieur.
“Nice hotel, good price”
We stayed at Blue Square in the first week that they were open. It was a lovely hotel very clean, staff helpful. Location was fine as it was out of the centre but everything was easy to get to on the nearby tram network. (50 metres walk) Supermarket close by. The only complaint that I have is that as the hotel was brand new not everything that was advertised was available such as wifi (TV was installed on the first day of our stay). Breakfast was great - lots of choice and very nice. Altogether this hotel was great value for the price.
“Great family hotel”
day of checking in-DO NOT BE PUT OFF by exterior!! pullin up outside hotel-i was really worried- but inside the decor is excellent! hotel receptionist was a bit tetchy when we checked in...but it could have been an off day. comfy beds...good size rooms...amazing POWER SHOWER!rooms were clean...service was excellent. breakfast was good!...for all u British lot-just take along ur PGtips/Tetley teabags...they cant be perfect brewers like us! the location- away from centre- but excellent trams/bus services (20min)...its more homely area and family orientated with excellent cafe's/takeaways n mini-shoppin mall. enjoy ur stay!
