Bad Experience
The hotel had many issues, Safe, Fridge and TV was not working. Called the reception for help but it was pointless. Extra bed was an old frame with dirty mattress. Wife signal was horrible. Breakfast selection was not to good, very little variety. Hotel had a bad smell too. The worst was it only had 1 lift, used by both hotel guest and staff. I would only say Thank You to the housekeeping staff and Vijay from Reception. Please note its not a family friendly hotel.

Hotel manager and the driver appointed to take us around for sight seeing were very helpful. Hotel - Wifi was very poor, never worked in the room. At late nights till early morning we could hear constructions noise. Also other guest were screaming and shouting, there was no control.

Before booking make sure of getting mail from hot
We booked the room for 10th Aug.. Night but before reaching we telephoned them for pick services from Train station but after reaching there to our surprise no one was there to pick us up. Anyway we reached there by hiring a local taxi. Room was good , A/c was very effective , Toilet was clean but the room size was very small it is not at all for three elders. They provide you with extra bed but there is no space left to walk in the room.breakfast was not good. Very important tip for future visitors is when you book hotel online make sure your receive a mail from hotel too mentioning about all the services they are going to provide. As we booked the hotel room on hotel.com and according to there mail sent to us showed that breakfast is included but they refused to include that in our stay and asked for the extra service. After much argument they agreed to the give us complimentary breakfast. In the process we wasted out 1 hour and humiliation. Otherwise the hotel is good.

Comfort of home.
Service was excellent. We were greeted with kindness. Upon check in we were escorted to our room. Food was fantastic. Location was good but farther than we were told from what we wanted to see.

We booked for 3 adults and were expecting a slightly bigger room - but helpful staff and room cleanliness helped us manage in a smaller room. Location is good - breakfast choice can be improved a little - but overall we were very happy with our stay!

HOTEL CENTRALLY LOCATED
We, my wife and another friend+ his wife, arrived on the 12th of November 2014 and yes we were pleasantly greeted and our rooms were given to us immediately. There was a minor problem about hot water not coming at 02:30 am in the morning as we had to go to the Golden Temple for the morning darshan but it was promptly solved within 15min bu their in house plumber. This was quite remarkable as I never expected this at that hour. Rooms were very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was nice with the staff being very courteous. Would definitely stay here the next time I visit the city.

Stay was excellent, hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Attentive to the needs of its customers. They even upgraded our room to a Deluxe room from standard.

Although situated in new part of Amritsar with Holiday Inn, Clarks Inn, Comfort Inn etc in the vicinity. We had booked 4 rooms together, but unfortunately were one of the rooms was offered in different floor. All the rooms had single bed format and two joined together. Beds are narrow just 30 inch width, which is very difficult for any adult to sleep comfortably. AC cooling was pathetic. We stayed 2 night & 3 days, but largely had our meals outside as Amritsar had very good non veg food options. Only one night, we went to have dinner after confirming with reception for a space in the restaurant, but when we reached the restaurant, we were turned down as no space was available. We had to order room service only. While checking out, we requested for an extended checkout for at least one room. We were allowed just 30 mi extension, but when we went down at 12.30 pm to check out, it took 45 min and even then credit card machine was not working. Finally we went out to ATM, got cash and paid. So our first stay at Best Western, seems to be the last one.

Good value for money...
Although the hotel is in a good condition but it is evident that it has seen better times. During our stay there was water trickling down the artificial ceiling just outside our room and not been addressed for the entire day. The breakfast is just about ordinary and the seating arrangement although plush but make shift. The hospitality and the warmth of the staff makes up for most of the gaps in the upkeep of the hotel. Overall, good value for money but do not expect superlatives...

Terrible experience in terms of the ac in the rooms were not working n leaking. Had to shift to a different room with a child around midnight in which the bathrooms had a terrible stench. Totally hyped this hotel was......I wouldn't visit here again. Stayed in better 3 star hotels.

Good hotel average maintenance
Stayed at the hotel for 1 Night with my family. A lot of improvement is needed in the hotel management. Had to call house keeping/ maintenance staff thrice i.e. for Air Conditioner, Electric Kettle and Shower. Good part was that the staff was willing to listen and act.

Worst service and poorly maintained
I have stayed at many best western hotels before but I would say this was the worst one! The service, let's start with the front line staff, very unfriendly, made the worst of our trip. I regret booking this hotel. Because I booked through hotels.com, they made me feel like they couldn't do anything to help me, that I would have to back to where I booked my vacation and deal with my issue there. And the rooms are very poorly maintained, they are not clean and the furniture is very old and stained. The tub was dirty as well. There was left over food bits under the carpet also. And the staff also try putting me into one of the cheaper rooms and when I complained and said I had booked an executive suite, that's when they shifted us. They couldn't seem to find my second booking for the room either. I would say the staff is always the ones that make any hotel shine, and I'm sorry to say your staff did not achieve that at all. Especially your front desk staff.

Really doesn't live up to the price point.
Friendly and helpful staff, but the hotel was a little dirty, very busy which made it noisy especially late at night. Food for lunch and dinner fell a little short of expectations! Breakfast was great and drivers were great. Nice pizza place over the road. Hotel in the middle of nowhere.

My parents stayed and they really liked the place. Clean, easy check-in/out. Hotels.com answered all the questions/concerns before I was booking. No problems..only issue was that they told the front desk to give a wake up call as they had to catch the flight but nobody did. But otherwise everything was excellent...will go again..

Traveled April 2013 - Good hotel but bad service. - Rooms were nice and clean but poor service, you need to follow-up with them. - Food was just average but expensive- not value for money - Place is bit far from golden temple, hotel cab is expensive, alternates are auto rickshaw (charge around Rs 20/km) as you dont have any other option, else Radio cab (Charge Rs25/km) Expected Best Western to live up to his standard of four star property.. should be tagged as 3 star property!

Good value for comfort and money !
Courteous staff, good size bathrooms, comfortable beds - what more does one want when on a short holiday? The hotel met all these criteria. The breakfast spread was a reasonable mix of indian and continental. Quality of tea and coffee can be improved. Did not eat other meals, so cant comment.. Good value and comfort for money.I totally recommend it for all - family, business, couples , anyone. Keep up the standards Best Western :-)

requested an extra bed and the staff brought a filthy mattress and dirty sheets TWICE. front desk was also unresponsive/slow on other requests. we eventually got switched to a clean suite, but still wouldn't stay here again. also, location is poor: outside the city center but in a run-down and deserted shopping plaza rather than a nice area.

After reading quite a few good review on this hotel, I have to admit we had good expectations, what a disappointment. The bedsheets got us wondering if they had been changed from the previous guests. The carpet under the bed was extremely dirty and covered with left over biscuit of the previous guests. Though the food was good, we caught one of the waiter dipping his finger in one of our plate for testing as he taught it might have been cold...and plates were not always clean. The front desk staff was just clueless (a part from one guy, i think is name is Gaurav) - We had requested a transfer from the airport to the hotel. When we arrived, the hotel car was there but waiting for somebody else. Upon asking him he called the hotel and were put into a taxi, yet we were still charged the double price! Their idea of travel desk as advertised on their website is calling a cab that will take you to the temple. And if you ask too much, after two sentence they will start mumbling in Punjab. The same with their "IT guy", who seem to struggle sorting their internet out.
