Your adventure begins right here, no matter whether you’re holding a meeting or staying over, nor how many of you there are, or how old.
This Hotel is in a spectacular skyscraper, which has become Stockholm’s new southern landmark. All services are conveniently arranged under one roof, including an exciting world of adventure with Alfie Atkins cartoon characters for children—enjoy a stay packed with experiences and relaxation without even leaving the Hotel. But guests that want to experience what Stockholm has to offer needn’t worry, it’s closer than you think. The commuter train station is a covered 100 m walk away, which gets you to the city centre in less than 10 minutes. You can also work in peace and quiet in your room, or with as many as 1,000 colleagues in one of our exciting conference and events premises. For even bigger events, the sort Stockholm International Fairs Center is in the same complex. The Meet and Mingle restaurant bar is renowned for its delicious food and skilled, friendly staff. This multi-award-winning Hotel also boasts a gym, sauna and car park, which is the venue for international summits one day, and the perfect destination for families with children the next.
The Hotel is next door to, and part of, the Stockholm International Fairs Center, at Älvsjö, south of central Stockholm. Its entrance is to the right of the Fairs Center main entrance at Mässvägen 2. If you’re arriving by air, we recommend the Arlanda Express rail-link to Stockholm Central Station. If you’re travelling by coach or train to the Central Station/Cityterminal, the commuter train links up well to Älvsjö Station, from where it’s a 100 m walk down to the left, where you see the Hotel. If you’re driving, follow the signs to Älvsjö/Stockholmsmässan, and parking’s easy in the car park under the Hotel (entrance via Parkeringsvägen behind the Hotel).
Älvsjö commuter train station is a covered 100 m walk away. Generally, trains depart every 15 minutes and take you to Södermalm (Stockholm S) in six minutes and the city center (Stockholm C) in nine minutes. You can pick up the subway at T-Centralen, where the buses to Djurgården (at Sergels Torg) also depart. We recommend environmental taxis (Taxi Stockholm), which you can book from reception.
The best parking is in the underground car park below the Hotel, whose entrance is from Parkeringsvägen behind the Hotel. Discounted parking is available from reception.
Room Amenities
Rooms
All rooms are spacious and bright with panoramic window views. You can also upgrade to Superior Class, on the higher floors of the Hotel, which have amazing views. All rooms are furnished in contemporary Scandinavian style, complete with cozy beds, which enhance an enjoyable and relaxing hotel experience. The Hotel has a four-star rating and Svanen environmental certification.
The Rica Talk Hotel, features 248 air-conditioned guestrooms with modern Scandinavian style decor, all of which include satellite television with pay movies, minibars and direct-dial phones.
Dining
The Meet restaurant on the second floor serves breakfast, lunch with a deluxe salad bar and midday meals. The restaurant also offers an excellent à la carte selection in the evenings. Its kitchen is recognized for its attractive, tasty food, prepared with real care. Staff are professional and discreet, and are there to help you relax with a good meal. The Mingle bar is next to reception, where you can relax with a snack, glass of wine or cool beer and accompaniments. It also has a menu of classic dishes. There’s a wide selection of drinks and cocktails, including alcohol-free drinks, mixed with skill and enthusiasm by trained bartenders.
Children’s food and drink is important at this Hotel, with its aspirations of being Sweden’s best for children. Children get their own breakfast buffet. The bar also has a special drinks menu for youngsters, and there’s an attractive children’s menu available in the restaurant and from room service.
Room service with a breakfast menu, skillfully prepared food and drink is available from breakfast until 10:30 p.m.
If you’re out to discover the restaurants, cafes, bars or entertainment outside the hotel, the range is enormous. Feel free to contact reception before or during your stay—they’ll be happy to suggest the best restaurants and help you book a table.
Our extensive breakfast buffet, which is included in your room rate, offers huge freedom of choice to compose your own breakfast menu—whether you prioritize a healthy start to your day or want a little luxury.
Entertainment
Despite the Hotel being just outside the city centre, the whole of Stockholm is within easy reach. The train to Södra (southern) station (at Medborgarplatsen) takes just six minutes, so you can enjoy Södermalm with its wealth of exciting restaurants, bars and stores (this is where you’ll find small and unusual shops, including a huge range of fashion), along Götgatan, and in the trendy SoFo quarter. If you’re looking for larger stores, take the train to T-Centralen, where the you’ll find the landmark shopping streets of Sergelgatan, Drottninggatan, and the upmarket Gallerian mall. This is also close to Stockholm’s historical and scenic Old Town. For culture, the Old Town is hard to beat, with attractions including the Royal Palace, the Cathedral, Nobel Museum and Riddarholm Church, with origins from the 13th century. Stockholm’s theaters are only a few minutes’ walk from T-Centralen. Tickets for a wide range of sightseeing trips are available from reception.
Stockholm’s entertainment centers on Kungsgatan and down towards Stureplan. Take the train to the Central Station, walk left along Vasagatan to Kungsgatan, where you will find Oscars and the Cosmopol Casino, while there’s a series of nightclubs all the way along Kungsgatan down to Stureplan to your right.

“Nice hotel to stay at for conventions at the Stockholm International Fairs”
I picked this hotel because it is literally right next door to the Stockholm International Fairs Convention Center. The Alvsjo commuter rail station (part of the Pendeltag line) is within a short walking distance away and only two stops away from the Stockholm Central Station, which takes you to anywhere around Stockholm. Central Station connects with the Arlanda Express train to Arlanda Airport. As for the hotel - well, it was very clean, and the beds and pillows were soft, and the service was very efficient. There was a funky glass shower which had minimal borders with the rest of the bathroom floor, so that water did tend to leak out all over. The rooms have very dark curtains, so if you want to sleep in and catch up from jet lag, you can eliminate almost all the light in the room, which is nice. The complimentary breakfast is excellent, lots of eggs, bacon, sausage, meatballs, cheese, preserved Swedish stuff (fish, etc.), cereal, juice, etc. And oh, lots of crusty Swedish bread. Yep, those Swedes sure like their bread thick and crusty. The front desk staff was OK. Some were friendly, some not so friendly. Since most of them were young Swedish women, they were at least quite pleasant to look at, whatever their demeanor. The hotel has a small workout area, but no pool. There is internet access, and two free computers near the front desk. However, to print out stuff, e.g., your online check-in boarding pass, you have to use a pay computer. Bummer.
“great value for money”
Had a great stay in this hotel. Its only a couple of stops from the centre of town, and its much more affordable than hotels in the city centre. The room was comfortable and well done, and the breakfast was spectacular. The gym was a bit disappointing, but I went for a run near the hotel and it was fine. Great value for money considering how expensive Stockholm can be,
“Right next to exhibitions halls”
Stayed here for two nights before and after an exhibition, staff friendly and helpful and we benefitted form excelllent rates as the exhibition halls were quiet. Hotel has a couple of bikes you can borrow altthough the surrounding area is not great, would be worth taking the bikes on the train into Stocholm. Breakfast was excellent and evening meal in the restaurant was good and not too expensive for Sweden. I would stay again if the rate was right.
“Astonishing breakfasts”
The enormous breakfast spread of quality items in a cheery room was a great way to start each day. Rica Talk is right next to the Stockholsmassen, the Stockholm RInternational Fairs and Congress Center.
“well impressed”
recommended by expedia,excellent value,central to trains,had a really lovely stay,will go back.
“Stylish design hotel for all exhibition visitors”
50 steps from hotel to exhibition. Good restaurant, sauna, parking.
“Stunning Stockholm”
The hotel is on the outskirts near the 'International Fair' area. It is close to the rail network however I had a car so I can't comment on the rail journey. The car parking is secure but comparitively expensive on top of the room cost. The rooms are fairly spacious and light. and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was exceptionally good and plenty of it but a little busy as the hotel was fairly full. Overall very good value for money and I would definitely stay there again.
“Good value”
While this new hotel is not in a particularly urban or exciting part of Stockholm, it has great access to the train that runs into the central city. The travel time is about 10 minutes. It would be nice to have things to walk to from the hotel, such as sights, restaurants, nightlife, etc, but for the price, it is hard to beat this hotel in Stockholm. I stayed for a three night stay on two separate occasions right after the hotel opened. They were obviously still working out some kinks in the hotel as it had only been operational for a couple of weeks. The workout facility is pretty weak. There are only a few pieces of equipment. So don't plan on using it for a decent workout. On the plus side, the breakfast that's included with your room rate is amazing. It's not like the mediocre contintental breakfasts you receive in the States. It is a full breakfast buffet with more food than you can possibily imagine eating in one sitting. That alone is worth at least $10 per person. The hotel is very modern (think IKEA) and clean. The staff is extremely friendly. The location is convenient enough to Stockholm central. I highly recommend this hotel.
