“Functional”

Hotel was convenient for our purposes - family visit - but the quality of what was supposed to be a superior room left much to be desired. Overall the room was clean (enough) but the area around the taps in the bathroom needed a good scrub. Cannot comment on food as we did not eat at hotel nor on the leisure facilities as they were closed for the duration of our stay (albeit no reference was made to this on booking).

“Would not go back”

On arriving at reception there was a total lack of warmth from the receptionist there was no explanation on the facilities that were available. The bathroom appeared to be clean until you stood in the bath to shower then you noticed that the window and window sill had probably not been cleaned this year. around the window frame was encrusted with dirt and there were cobwebs on the inside of the window. The carpet while looked clean the edges around the skirting board had a line of dirt all round the room. Plus side the hotel room had clean bedding and towels.We received soap and shampoo tea and coffee making facilities but no biscuits.
