Cheap
we had reservations for a king bed non-smoking. when we called to say we were on our way, they said we had a smoking room. Told them that was wrong, but was told it's ok because they had a cancelation for a non smoking room, but two full size beds. In the bathroom, there was a soap open in the shower, we didn't know if the room was clean. no hair dryer or coffee pot, when you go cheap I guess everything is cheap.

Very nice place to stay
This is an older hotel that they must have fixed up. You can tell it is old based on the smell. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom looked like they just redid it. My complaint with the bathroom is there was no towel rod. There is nowhere to adjust the temperature, but the temperature was very comfortable. We didn't try the breakfast. The room was quiet, we couldn't hear anyone else next to us or over us. There is a restaurant adjacent to the hotel that we ate lunch and breakfast at. It was very good.

Comfortable Room for a fair rate
I was looking for a room in Ebensburg and this fit the bill. The décor is dated, but the room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. They offer a light breakfast too.

It's great for the price
Friendly staff, room was clean and partially updated. Halls were quiet. Great nights sleep.

Disappointed
This is a very old facility. Although some updates had been made to the room, new bathroom floor and tiles in shower, the feel was poor quality. I was very uncomfortable here. Bedding appeared clean, but there were burn holes in the blanket in our non-smoking room.

I'll get you by in a pinch
We had a room with 1 queen bed. The room size was considerably larger than average and included a small sofa and a desk in the room. The sofa seems comfy when you first sit on it but after a few minutes you realize the cushions are shot and you sink in. The bed seems reasonably comfy at first too, until someone else gets in the bed with you and then you realize the mattress is also shot and you both roll towards the center on top of each other. Great when you're 20 and skinny, not great when you're 50 and fat. LOL At least the sheets were clean. The cover on the ironing board in the room was filthy and wrinkled, rendering the ironing board pretty much useless. The iron worked fine, though. The tv was analog, but had decent selection of cable stations. No menu or tv guide though, so the only way to find a show was to physically channel surf. The bathroom was very worn and old. Shower curtain was cloth, not plastic, so water from the shower actually comes through the shower curtain and gets on the floor. They provide 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel, and 1 washcloth per person. When I requested a 2nd bath towel (to wrap my long hair in after showering), they brought me one within a couple minutes. Tub and sink both drained properly, and toilet flushed properly. The door to our room had about a 1 inch gap between the bottom of the door and the floor, so every time people walked by your door, you can hear every word. If a smoker walked by, the smoke smell could get in your room, I imagine, but we did not experience this. The air conditioner kicks on based on the temperature you set on the thermostat; you can not control the air flow settings (i.e. low, med or high). The A/C barely gets the job done. No chance you might get too cold over night. We did not attempt to use internet and did not partake of or even see, the free breakfast, so can't comment on those. In the hotel's defense, they do have signs all over the place claiming the place is under renovation. I'd be curious to find out if the place is *still* under renovation a year from now. The restaurant next door seemed pretty good. We ate steak and cheese subs there and the portions were large and the food was very fresh.

Was a little loud as there was a party in town. But the room was nice and the restaurant was great.

Stay somewhere else!
The hotel was absolutely horrible. My room was filthy, my comforter was ripped. I had electrical tape around my hair dryer, fridge didn't work, bugs in my bathtub, my key card kept not working, I had to get a new one 4 times. Continental breakfast was in a hotel room and it was cereal and oatmeal. Everything about this place was horrible. PLEASE dont stay here with a family or as a female. I was terrified the entire time and couldn't relax. However the restaurant did have good food. ha. but definately not worth the stay.

Not Impressed
I don't expect much from a hotel, but this hotel did not meet my expectations. There was an issue of Hustler magazine in the bedside table. I don't need a bible, but I don't need an erotic magazine either. If this appeals to you, the Red Carpet Inn is probably for you. Otherwise, as long as it isn't homecoming weekend at Penn State, there are plenty of other hotels in the area.

This was an out-of-town businss trip -- I just needed a clean bed and hot shower. Red Carpet provided both. Would I want to go back? No.

IUP Overflow
With hotels in Indiana booked up on "Parent's Weekend", we stayed here (about 35 minutes from campus). The room was adequate, and clean, possibly stuck in the 80s though. Mattress could use an upgrade. The "breakfast" in the morning was sad. I took two small muffins, my wife opted for fruit loops. That says enough.

very generic
room was a bit high priced for small generic room with two double beds and no fitted sheets. Beds had three clean topsheets. Bathroom is very small,.
