“Clean, new, good location.”
Very easy access to PSU Altoona campus( just down Rt 764). Very clean, new, good breakfast. Staff was very good, but one man rolled his eyes at a customer on the phone in front of me. Room had everything we needed, but no freezer. Air conditioner blew uncomfortably cold air. We will go back, but next time we will bring our own pillows.
“Newer Hotel”
The Hotel was very nice and very clean, great rooms with a sitting TV area, nice size bathroom and comfortable beds. The breakfast they offer is just ok nothing special. (frozen type bagels and small muffins, donuts, coffee etc.)There is nothing around the hotel because of its location, its right off the highway so have plenty of snacks and drinks handy or hit the vending machine. The walls are a little thin you can hear the neighbors closing the drawers and the closet. Overall a great hotel for your stay, close to the downtown area of Altoona (5-6 miles) and close to the Horseshoe curve. (7 -9 Miles)

“Good hotel for visit to Penn State Altoona”
Although fairly new, this hotel is out in the middle of nowhere and the signs at the bottom of the entrance were barely visible. We were visiting Altoona Penn State which is about a 10-15 minute drive on backroads. Stayed on a Sunday night - all of 3 cars in the parking lot. Nice pool and gym facilitie, however, small. Daughter commented that the lobby needed more windows - the only view to the outdoors was through the front doors. Probably could have used at least a skylight - makes it very uninviting. Rooms were very clean and new though.
“Good hotel except for 2 issues”
The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly. Only 2 problems. First, It's a little drive to Altoona. Second, the walls are pretty thin. You can pretty much hear everything in the next room. I would be happy to stay here again because I'm the one who snores loudly.
“Not a suite. Dark and dreary esp for a brand new hotel.”
The name "suites" is misleading. Not at all what I would consider a suite. Just one room, slightly longer (and not wider at all) than a normal room with a couch and chair at one end. Only light was one 40W flourescent bulb on nightstand, and a desklamp with the same dim harsh flourescent bulbs. Congratulations on saving energy at the expense of comfort! Too dark in the "suite" part to even read a book. No floor lamp. It was like being in a cave even during the day. The "desk" was way higher than a normal desk - came up almost to my shoulders when in the chair - totally unusable. No idea what they were thinking there. A smaller pull-out table was available but then no light available to use it. Exercise equipment was home-quality. One treadmill was already broke, weight machine had missing parts and not totally usable. I ended up on the bike which worked OK. For a new hotel it is really lousy.
“Ok Hotel”
Shower had poor pressure. Breakfast was good. No really near any restuarants except 1. Hotel look newer than most. Pool was reportly good. Room Ventation was not controlled by it own buttons but a theromstat.
