The Tamarack is located within Holiday Valley, the premier destination ski, golf and conference resort in Western New York. The Tamarack is a true ski-in, ski-out location during the winter months Show more and in the spring. We offer 56 slopes with 13 lifts, four terrain parks plus a half pipe and several glades. In addition to having a variety of sizes ranging from deluxe hotel rooms to 3-bedrooms units, The Tamarack offers 4 star amenities including underground parking, an indoor outdoor heated pool, 2 outdoor hot tubs, sauna and exercise room. Also available to every guest is complimentary ski, snowboard and golf club storage. The Falling Waters Spa and John Harvards Brew House are both located within the facility. When the snow is off the slopes, the 18-hole Double Black Diamond Golf Course, located nearby, provides a stern test of golf as it winds through the woods and around ponds creating a pleasing blend of play. For the kids, there is Sky High Adventure Park, a playground in the trees where you must use strategy and balance to move across a series of bridges and zip lines. Minimum age required at check-in is 21. There is a 3 percent Resort Fee which is included in the 16.24 percent tax. Housekeeping service schedule is upon departure only. Check-in time is after 4pm on the day of arrival. Check-out is at 10am. Photo ID required at check-in. Must be 21 years of age or older for check-in. Front desk is staffed 24 hours a day. “not worth the price!”

Although we got a discounted rate, it was worth only that. I would have more upset had we paid full price. We booked through this website and I did it through calling as I wanted a smoking room. I'm disabled and it's difficult for me to get to the outside. I was told I had booked a smoking room. After check-in (which they did allow us an early check-in--about 45 min.) We get to our room---non-smoking. We go to the front desk, This is a NON smoking hotel. They were also aware we were celebrating our 27th. anniversary----nada from them!!! Back to our room and on the phone to Expedia--I wanted to see if we could at least get a room with a balcony as we had one of the very few with-out (hence the discounted rate) Nope, hotel claims full capacity. Come to find out later there is a sister hotel next door with smoking, this option was never offered---only smokers will appreciate review!! Ordered room service for dinner-2 burgers, told a 15 min wait. It took an hour and 15 min. plates arrived uncovered by anything and cold. Not the way one would expect from hotel of this cost. However the pool and hot tubs were excellent. The room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. There is a bar in the hotel so if you're looking for peace and quiet this may not be the place, especially during peak ski season or ask for a room away from food and drinks. I do see this a fun place for skiers and other snow lovers!!
