“Perfect location and nice staff!”
This hotel was just as expected... perfect location and very nice staff. The week I was there, they were doing some minor touch-ups and repairs, but I never felt bothered. Would stay again in a heart beat!

“Awesome view nice hotel”
Our stay at the hotel was brilliant. We were given a choice of two rooms with two different views and we chose the 23rd floor that overlooked the castle and beach. At night the view was awesome. Furthermore the restaurant had a variety of food available thus allowing my family to make their own individual choices. Additionally the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The rooms were clean and tidy. Travelling from the airport to the hotel was easy as we used C6 bus directly outside the airport which stopped outside the hotel. Overall a great experience and would definitely go again.
“Great Location !”
Ok ,we chose this hotel for the location , and wasn`t dissapointed , Asked for sea view , and got one on the 17th floor ! Fantastic view s of harbour . Beach is 5 minute walk , shops restaurants underneath hotel .......... I agree that the hotel needs upgrading , old fashioned door frames , and wardrobes in room . Clean - , good maid service . Breakfast was also good ! Not a 4 star Hotel though at present . Yes , I would stay their again ! My wife and I could come and go as the location was spot on ! Air con in room and ajoining TV Room . you would need this ....... Airport is 2 .70 euros each way Cheap , and so easy to find ! Bus from easy location at Alicante airport ......... Hope this helps ! ;)
“Great location, wonderful views and not expensive - Try Gran Sol”
OK so it's not the poshest hotel l've ever been to, but the location is ideal for the beach, the restaurant area and there's dozens of bars near. The rooms were basic but adequate, with a small sitting room and the rooms ending in 2 (I think) have a sea view and balcony, which started the trip on a huge high note (especially arriving during the day in 28C with bright blue skies). Nice shower, beds not too hard and air con did get the night time temperature down. Very helpful bar staff helped point us to the Argentinian steak house (fab food) and other recommended bars. Alicante was a great place, and not too 'Englishified', so would recommend this for couples and families (although this was a lads weekend, so saw more bars than play-areas).
“pleasant hotel”
was pleased about convience of hotel close to shops etc...elevators were slow but rooms were clean...front desk staff should speak more English. very difficult to communicate.
“Nice Hotel, Great Location!”
The hotel is in a great location as it is very close to tourist sites and within a 5 minute walk from the beach. It was very convenient to take the bus from the airport as the bus stops very close to the hotel. Overall, it was a very nice hotel in a great location.
“Hotel TRYP Gran Sol Situation exceptionnelle”
Hotel un peu vieillissant mais semble t-il en cours de rénovation Exemple climatisation très bruyante et peu efficace Mobilier ancien... Mais la situation de l'hotel en plein centre ville, au coeur de l'animation d'Alicante avec vue sur mer, port, esplanade... reste un atout exceptionnel.
“Nice and central hotel (style 1990)”
Great hotel on Las Ramblas, the main street of Alicante with nightlife and short walking distance to everything the city has to offer including the marina. The hotel itself is just basic standard, but you have everthing you need, and not at least, a nice panorama view from most of the rooms.
