Fabulous hotel and we would definitely recommend to everyone. Really clean, absolutely safe. Good walking distance to the playa. Amazing staff, really friendly and helpful.

Some good things about the hotel, and some unexpected. Good: The location is good, a 150 metres or so from the beach, which is wide and sandy and great. We didn't have time to try the spa, and the evening's entertainment by the pool on the Saturday evening was fun. Unexpected: We arrived in the late afternoon and the pools were pretty much all in shade, with the sun the other side of the hotel. It took us almost 30 minutes to get towels, but I suspect that this was exceptional. In the morning when we went to the pool, the sun was again mainly blocked, this time by a nearby hotel. I have to presume that the sun shines over the pools between mid-morning and mid-afternoon. Health and Safety: We left our car in the car park. I tried to get out via the emergency exit door, which refused to move and I had to presume was locked. This would have failed a H&S Audit. Are all emergency exit doors checked at regular intervals?

This is a brilliant place to stay, on arrival we were greeted at reception by very happy efficient chap. First impression of the hotel is the large very clean and tidy reception area nicely furnished with easy chairs. And a bar leading to the swimming pool. We booked a standard room which was very nice and spacious with a small desk, a chair and plenty of wardrobe space, and the bed was comfortable. An on suite bath shower room was a little compact but very nice. Breakfast, There was a good choice of food cold and hot. cereals, a selection fresh fruit, yogurts, selection of cold meats , mixed pastries, hot food selection and a choice of hot and cold drinks. Plus more. Our first impression stayed with us all round the hotel very clean and tidy with very helpful staff. Parking There is very very good private parking under the hotel. Just a small thing maybe the hotel would consider installing a Tesla EV destination charger.. If your looking at Calpe for a holiday the A R Diamanté is a great place to stay A little about things around the hotel Local restaurants Just a few minutes walk from the hotel in the side streets and along the beach front there is a great choice of restaurants and bars.. Beach There is Lovely sandy beach for the family with a children’s play platform. Show less

Good break
Hotel very good a bit out of calpe & road works caused a small problem staff were very helpful most of the time . We wanted to use the pool owing to myself having had a tkr and needed water exercise but the cost was 20€ for 1 hour. On checkout I complained and were told I could have gone to the sister hotel for 3€ to use the pool . Overall restaurant staff very good and service superb

The hotel was lovely and very well situated for nice long strolls along the front. It was extremely clean and very well maintained. The rooms were very spacious and the staff friendly. The buffet breakfast was as good as any I have had anywhere, it had a fantastic variety and was replenished continually. The pool, which was part of the spa was lovely and although we didn’t use it, it was always being used as was the gym. All in all a nice January break!

We choose the Diamante not only for location but also the amenities. On arrival we were informed that parking was 10 euro per night in their car park, yet the hotel was virtually empty and parking outside was free. We were also informed that to use the Spa it would cost us 40 euro each for just 1 hour!! Outrageous! To swim we would have to use the hotel over the road at a cost of 3 euro each. Also their was a sign saying that the water wouldn't be drinkable from the 22 Nov due to work on the water supply. Not a problem as we were leaving for the airport at 8am. What we didn't expect was to wake up on that morning to find that we had no running water, no shower and the toilet didn't flush. The telephone to reception didn't work so I had to go down to report this. There was no management to assist but we were told they were aware and coming in. We had to leave our room for the airport without being able to clean anything or use the toilet. The receptionist just said that there was nothing that they could do. Very disappointed that at least a refund for our last night wasn't offered as we'd stayed there 4 nights.

Beautiful hotel, perfect position
Really beautiful hotel, very friendly, helpful staff and close to the beach too. Unfortunately we were only there for 2 nights, but I would happily have stayed for a week. The room was modern, spacious, comfortable and had everything we required including a lovely view!

Smart hotel close to each.
The hotel and room were lovely and the breakfast buffet was cruise quality. It is advertised as a spa hotel and I had visions of spending hours relaxing in the spa. I didn't know that the spa cost €20 per hour!!!

Winter in Calpe
Few hotels open at this time of year and similarly, few local restaurants. Comfortable & very pleasant hotel. Geared for large conferences or events, but still very personal from staff. Probably the best hotel breakfast buffet ever!! Only (small) criticism, was twin beds when double requested.

Shame about the pool !!!
Lovely, clean & well serviced hotel, with helpful & accommodating staff. Perfectly located for the beach-front, with easy access (5 minutes on foot), to a great range of bars, restaurants & shops. Very clean & comfortable room. However, when we booked, the Expedia details clearly stated that there was access to an indoor pool, and given the time of year (October), this was clearly a significant factor when choosing this hotel. The (extremely courteous) staff informed us however, that you can only access this facility if you are paying a (substantial) additional sum, to book treatments in their spa. So beware - you will not be able to use it, unless you open your wallet - pretty wide !! Also, although not directly related to our stay at the hotel, DO NOT book car hire from Firefly @ Alicante Airport, as they are a bunch of cowboys, who will inform you that you need to pay extremely substantial additional insurance charges (18 Euros per day), even though their details on the Expedia site clearly say that all such charges are included in the price !!! Avoid them at all cost !!

OK nice room, wifi worked on PC but myself and several others couldn't get it to work on our phones. Calpe is beautiful but over developed. food is buffet, good value but nothing special. biggest complaint is it's a 4 star hotel with a pool/sauna but you have to pay an extra 20e to actually use it.

Great stay at the Diamente Beach Hotel
This was my second stay at the Diamente Beach Hotel (2013 & 2015). The hotel is efficiently run and clean, there is a good variety of food at breakfast and dinner, tables are cleared quickly, there is maid service every day, the receptionists were helpful in printing out train/bus timetables and a maintenance issue was dealt with quickly. The clientele were mostly families; Spanish, French, German and some British. There are some daytime activities, a kids' club and evening entertainment - some good and some not so good! There are two large supermarkets nearby, a bus stop and 'tourist train' which runs into the old town. The hotel is situated in an area with other hotels and apartment blocks in a residential part of Calpe. It's a good half hour walk (if you go diagonally from the hotel) or longer along the promenade into Calpe old town. The salinas natural park is within walking distance. The area felt very safe. It's more of a family resort with a sandy beach, small amount of bars close to the hotel, restaurants a little further and a marina. There are sea views from the hotel's higher floors, although the view is in between apartment blocks. We had a great view from a corner 9th floor room of the Ifach rock, sea, salinas and outskirts of Calpe.

Good hotel near beach
This was quite a good hotel close to the beach. Rooms were clean and spacious and each had a balcony.There was a wide selection of food for breakfast although availability could be a bit random, especially towards the end of the scheduled time. It was entirely self service, even down to getting coffee from a machine which was a bit temperamental at times. There was also a wide selection for the buffet dinner but nothing was especially memorable.

This is potentially a lovely hotel. Great space, super location and grand design. I imagine as our stay was essentially out of season, everything from service to food was slightly off the pace and standard of what I expect from a four star hotel. Meals in the international buffet restaurant were limited and uninspiring. It was ok, but bland and it all felt a bit of a token effort for the few guests staying here. The spa was nice although we felt 20euro per visit was excessive for a pool, sauna and stem room as a number of the 'feature' showers were not working correctly or at all. I would hope more effort is made in the summer when business is healthier.

Stayed at the Diamante Beach last Friday night, on our way to our final holiday destination. Late arrival time of 9.30pm was no problem, parked in the hotel's own underground car park, which was expensive at €12 for the night but didn't feel like trying to find an on street space. Reception staff were lovely, very helpful and aware that we just wanted to get to our rooms and relax. Had 2 adjoining rooms on the ninth floor, with an interconnecting door. Very useful, allowing our two teenage girls to have their own room. The rooms were very nicely appointed. Spotlessly clean too. Superb air-con and wi-fi. TV had a wide selection of Eurpoean channels, including English. Bathroom same, spotlessly clean. Very powerful shower, towels provided were lovely too. Our rooms were at the back of the hotel, looking out over the town of Calpe, the Salinas and into the mountains. No sea views from here but didn't bother us at all. The breakfast is served from 8am to 10.30am and is fantastic. Superb variety of hot and cold food, all very good. The fresh orange juice machine is an absolute must! Staff again were lovely. Unable to fault our very brief stay at the Diamante Beach. But have no doubt that we would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. I'm sure we'll stay there again some day.

A new-ish hotel and spa, in a good location.
The hotel itself and the staff at the front desk are very good. There is plenty of loungers and room around the pool. The rooms are good and spacious, with a free safe and a well stocked minibar. The one drawback, is the restaurant, it is not well managed, with a manager who only laughs in your face and stubbornly refuses to accept critisism or suggestion, and more or less says, if you dont like this or that tough! address this point and the rating for the hotel would be 5 out of 5!

So, I assume the attraction is getting to the beach, which is less than a 10 minute walk…but get there early as the locals pack the place by 10 am. Hotel "ok" on pretty much everything, but no idea why the fitness centre doesn't open till 10 am then closes in the afternoon before another short spell early evening. Very frustrating

Very good, was only there for one night and arrived later and had to leave early, but good overall impressions. As the stay was out of season, the hotel was very quiet and the bar did close at 1-:00pm (although the bar man did bend the rules for us). Some problems with the room when we arrived but that was sorted very quickly. I have stayed in several hotels in the area but would go there again.

Room only option taken. Hotel clean and tidy (very low occupancy) Disappointed that the gym only opened in the evening after 4pm. Weather very hot but the pool was freezing! Air-Con pretty poor, don't know what the summer heat would be like! Plenty of street parking available but the staff tried to promote on site parking (with an unnecessary charge)

Excellent Hotel in Costa Blanca
Have stayed a lot in the Costa Blanca and this is the finest hotel so far. Many Spanish Hotels have star ratings above their actual standards but this Hotel was truly of 4 star standard.
