Overall the style and quality of the accommodation was great, but t was let down badly by the service at the restaurants and the availability of staff at key times.
We stayed for the 7 days before half term and the first 3 days of half term. For a luxury resort you expect the service to be 'on point', unfortunately it was poor - hour waits for food, no shuttle availability due to lack of drivers, incorrect bills, orders taken incorrectly, 45 min waits when told 5 mins for luggage to be picked up, having to ask several times for food orders and menus... etc.! Although all small things, they are all unnecessary and avoidable, with two small children in tow in takes the edge of a good holiday, especially considering the price. We were not the only ones who noticed as we spoke to several others who were unimpressed.
When reported at reception, little notice was taken and we were given the managers email to complain! All a bit lack lustre!
We have previously stayed - and returned - to several child orientated luxury resorts in the Algarve and in Greece and thought we would try Pine Cliffs given the reviews, however I will not be returning.
