“Brilliant”

Clean, good position, lovely breakfast, good lunchtime menu & quality food. Not very lively but we found that up the strip & came back for some quiet although don't think the other guests appreciated a group of girls very much!!!

“amazing location”

had a fantastic holiday. the hotel was set in beautiful surroundings with amazing ocean views. just a wall between the resort pool and the golden sandy beach which has lots of little coves and caves, lovely for the kids to explore. not much in the way of evening entertainment for children, however, just a 5 minute walk away is the resorts sister resort which has lots for the children to keep them amused. everything from parrot shows, karaoke, childrens' disco, drag queen acts etc. the rooms were huge and the kitchen was kitted out with everything needed to self cater. full size fridge and freezers with fair priced supermarkets nearby. perfect for storing boxes of icecream/lollies so save a few euros. just a very short walk to the popular strip. eating out quite expensive but would absolutely recommend the 'El Rancho' steak house located at the beginning of the strip from the hotel end. staff were all wonderful at the resort. check in time is at 5pm but if our room was ready so we were allowed to access it at 11am. all of the staff speak perfect english, so no problem if your porteguese is as dire as mine! would definitely go back, hopefully soon!

“The most beautiful place I've ever been”

This place is the most spectacular location and faciltiy I have ever been to for sun and sand. At first the beautful clean white exterior walls against the bluest ocean backdrop is completely stunning, but Europe had fooled me before with beautiful exteriors only to be followed by substandard rooms. Not the case here - the value was AMAZING. A beautiful, clean bedroom with 2 beds, a living room area with 2 pullout chesterfields and a clean kitchen for those with an extended stay in mind. Oh - a fantastic huge balcony overlooking the grounds and the ocean. A great nights sleep listeing to waves crash ashore. The facilities were amazing - fantastic pool and grounds and right on the most amazing beach. You could walk for hours (we did) along beautiful beaches and rocky outcroppings. Close enough to walk for a great dinner in old town. If you are in Portugal, you must really try Albufeira...it was a last minute addition that made our 10 vacation incredible. Antonia at the front desk was the most helpful attendant we had in all our 10 days (others were very good, but Antonia was a cut above the best of them)

“Enjoyable stay in superb location”

We stayed at these apartments a number of years ago and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. They are still as good as ever with a superb beach-front position but easy access via the left and 6th floor entrance onto The Strip for bars and eating. Staff are helpful and friendly and the apartments are immaculately clean and have everything you could need. The only downside is that maid service is only 3 times per week and a very slow running bath drain which was reported on the first day never got attended to but thesde are minor issues. We will certainly use these apartments again.

“Oura View”

My husband and i had a fantastic week at the Oura View, the hotel staff were all very polite and went out of their way to be helpful. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here for anyone. Families would benefit from the absolutely gorgeous outdoor pool. No hotel pool as come close to this one...albeit freezing cold! But in saying that, we did go in April, not August. I would definitely return to this hotel. Hotel rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable. The kitchen area was better equiped than my own home, I even had a dishwasher for a week. Do not have one at home so this was luxury. There was a small shop on site selling essentials, along with usual type holiday shop selling inflatables and swimming costumes etc. The hotel complex was larger than we have been used to. I think it would have been better to go in July/August as there was noone around. It did look as though the unused parts of the complex were being made ready for the summer. To sum up, a fabulous hotel, situated right on the beach (Which is amazing). The infinity pool was to die for and the staff made this a holiday to remember. An absolute must for anyone looking at holidaying in Portugal!

“Our Stay”

This was our first time to Portugal and the Oura Beach View Hotel was an absolute great base to explore this wonderful island. The room was spotless, the staff were extremely attentive and helpful and the fact that the beach, amenities and entertainment is within easy walking distance, made the whole experience a memorable one. I highly recommend this hotel and we've already started to plan our next visit!

“A wonderful hotel in every way”

Wonderful hotel! The rooms were spacious with amazing views of the pool and beach. The rooms included a fully equipt kitchen area with cooker/grill and dinning area. The whole hotel was immaculately clean and tidy. The staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Great location on the beach and within close walking distance to the restaurants/bars. I would recommend this hotel to all and would stay again as could not fault it.

“Beyond expectations; best location; very good price/quality ratio”

Everything about this hotel was just a bit better than expected even though all reviews we've read before ordering were very good. We've got nice studio apartment on first flour which was quite new, very clean, cozy to stay in during rainy days (we traveled out of season) and had everything you need to prepare food for yourself if you wish to. The view wasn't prize winning, but we still could see ocean waves on certain angle and you don't have this at home, so it would be strange to complain about. The staff was pleasantly helpful, gave reasonable suggestions where to entertain ouselves, where to buy local sweets for presents, how to reach certain destinations and overall - warm and helpful people. Please note that the hotel is very popular among elderly people, but that was absolutely fine with us (we both are 29 and were amoung maybe overall 5 percent of young people there). Those dressed up ladies and relaxed happy couples gathering at lobby to go for dinner, or just to chat to the staff or play puzzle have something so calming and charming about themselves...So in general the atmosphere was very nice. The steps away beach and pool area were absolutely spectacular. If we come back to Algarve - we'll do it all to get room in Oura view beach club. Enjoy!
