“great location and comfortable rooms”
My family and I had a good experience at this hotel. The one bad part of our stay was the fact that there was a life gaurd on duty all the time. This doesn't sound bad but everytime the kids would do something they didn't like they got a talking to from across the room.
“Bad value for what I paid”
I needed one night in a hotel near the Albany airport. The Marriott wasn't available, so I stayed here for a comparable room rate. My bathroom was dirty. The hotel layout is awful. The trashcan in the lobby was dirty. The staff were very friendly and helpful, on the other hand.
“disappointed”
old, smelly, hot, had to ask for room service, had to walk miles to get to main part of hotel. Ate there once in a weeks stay, the waitress seated us, took our order, cooked the meal, cleaned the table, it took hours to get a meal which wasn't very good. We booked with Expedia so prepaided and had to stay but the last day we had enough and ate the last day of the stay and moved to another hotel, really not impressed and to top if off they gave us someone elses bill with our own, not very professional. On the positive side the cleaning staff were very friendly.
“Stop to NY City”
Was an ok place to stay. They Charged $15 for a cot.
“Disappointing.”
Room was clean, but small, the bed was not terribly comfortable. We couldn't get our room serviced on Christmas day because we didn't leave it before 12noon. No free coffee or breakfast available in the lobby either, but you could buy a small coffee for $3.50...really? It's less than half that at Starbucks! Disappointing.
“Needs work - and the staff needs to take some pride in their hotel”
The hotel was clean and comfortable, but when the internet access didn't work the first night, and the coffee maker didn't, you wonder. Although the internet worked fine my 2nd night there, the coffee maker was not replaced or repaired (despite having complained about it that morning). I wasn't pleased about the internet problems, as my job requires constant email access - and the coffee maker is a requirement for me as well - and the fact it didn't work - on a morning where it was -16 C, really bothered me. Otherwise it was relatively clean and comfortable - but I won't stay again. It was clear the hotel employees didn't take enough pride in the hotel to respond and resolve guests' concerns.
“vey noisy in the halls at night”
The hotel is very well maintained and the accommodations are very nice. It's a bit overpriced due to the noisy people roaming the halls late at night. No fighting or loud arguing or anything like that, just drunk people hootin' and hollering up and down the halls. It seems that management has no control over the noise problem. There are notices in the room that quiet hours are 10pm to 7am. I guess some people choose not to pay attention to the hotel noise policy. At any rate I won't be staying here again due to that issue.
“Long in the tooth”
This hotel is long past the need for a major upgrade. It's dated, dingy. I always choose hotels with fitness rooms. Theirs was "closed" and of course no alternative. How much does it take to set up the equipment in their cavernous pool atrium somewhere?
“Not Impressed”
Did not get the rooms we reserved and prepaid for. Check in took a long time and the person at the desk was not professional or very friendly about the situation.
“Don't stay here if you need to get any sleep on a weekend.”
Their big function room is in the middle of the hotel so it had very loud music past 9:00 PM on Saturday night follwed by the load out and then the next group's load in starts before 7:00 AM on Sunday morning.
