Disappointing stay
- The beach was relatively nice but the Hotel was so disappointing: > bed sheet, bath towels, pillow case, etc. so old and wore and yellowish, not seem to have washed properly. > Wash room sink clogged up and not fixed, lights failing... > Room not cleaned up properly, everythig old and wore... > Reason may be that the staff are getting less than 300 pesos (minimum salary) per day and they don't have incentive to keep the hotel in good condition; it is just not worth the effort ... but we customers pay $60 per night would expect to get full hotel service ... it is sad, but the owner doesn't care that much about improving the conditions as they make just as much money either way ... > I paid $60 (including all fees) per day to live in a 1 star hotel ( should be called an Inn, not hotel) which is absolutely disappointing ...

this hotel ruin expedia standard
the hotel has only one place to eat and the food and service is so bad but the price is so expensive, their sunset room is too small for 4 person, there's no towel and bed sheets smells and old, bed is old and not comfy anymore. one of the room air condition is not working. I've been using expedia to all my travel needs and this hotel is the worst.

good location if you want serenity
i like it because i really don't want to be near those crowded and noisy stations. i also enjoyed the view of the nearby hotels on top of the mountains.so peaceful that you can even sleep while watching the sunset.

For a low Budget hotel it´s ok.
For a low Budget hotel it´s ok. They have potential, but the hotel has not been kept in shape. The picking-up service between airport and hotel was excelent. Also the shuttle bus possibility to D´Mall every day. The food is not good and the restaurant is not clean. Cats all around - not good! My recomendation: Invest in having a good restaurant and open it to the beach. Focus on a special tipe of food that others around don´t offer. The location is excelent and the beach perfect for people that do not like the multitudes of crowded beaches.

Ok price for Boracay.
When I first got there I was not happy with the room location or cleanliness. I had to make a fuss, and they upgraded me to the sunset room, only one problem is that the roof leaked when it rained. i quickly wanted to go somewhere else, but soon found out that I was paying a very good price compared to other places around Boracay. The food at the hotel was surprisingly good, and most of the staff were freindly and eager to make you happy. Problem is that this hotel is not being maintained as the owner has financial problems and is not putting the money back into the hotel. All in all Boracay is soo overated and too expensive for good value.

Don't bother
Major Problems:Located quite a ways from the main areas. They have a shuttle but it only runs at certain times and it is inconvenient. The breakfast was absolutely horrendous! The rooms were pretty basic and the beds were very uncomfortable (not to mention that the blanket is just a flat sheet...). The AC unit struggled to work anytime the sun was up so it was quite hot during the morning/day/afternoon. The room was moderately clean when we got there but there was no cleaning service at all. Pros: The staff were friendly and mostly helpful.

We took one look and then went along the beach and booked in somewhere else, we knew it would not be great as it was very cheap but we just couldn't stay there, they staff were lovely and we felt awful for them, but as I said we just couldn't stay there.

The only thing good about this Hotel was the Beach which was the best section on Boracay I saw.The online photoes shown in the adverstisement for the hotel are very misleading may have been taken when first built years ago.I think three star rateing should be more like one star which would be much closer to the truth. This is the only hotel I could find on the dates we had to traval so next time I will know to look much earlier now that i know area better.I guess to sum it up Boracay was great place to visit just plan better and take exta money to pay all the fees the Philippines charge and money to just use the restroomes.

Orinda Sucks!!!
It's very unpleasant to stay in Orinda.it's a far cry frim the pictures that they post in their website. 1st the location is very very far. 2nd, the room is very yucky. The 2queen sized beds are arranged perpendicularly to each other. Our room seems like an old office coverted into a bedroom. I wouldnt recommend this to my friends. I booked forv2nyts here at hotels.com i just stayed for 1nyt and left the following morning without informing the hotel. I transferred somewhere in Station2 on my my 2nd day in Boracay.

An enjoyable stay - good value
For the cheap price this hotel offers exceptional value. Rooms are basic but comfortable, staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. It is located right on the beach, very close to where it all happens on White Beach, but far enough away from the noise. The hotel has a shuttle bus to get you around, or tricycles (the best way to see the island) are always close at hand.

good location but far from station 2
Hotel is good value for money. Staff are very nice and attentive to your needs. The resort is at the tip of station 1 so a bit far from the crowd if you like some privacy. Very far from dmall which is in station 2 but they have scheduled busses that will take you there but if you miss it you'ld have to walk or take the tricycle which cost 150 pesos one way. Which is very expensive.

Orinda
Pros: - Nice private beach location - Quiet - 2 queen bed (family or 4 friends can easily fit) Cons: - Old - Rooms dirty (especially bed sheets) - If you want to go D'Mall or party you need to take tricycle up to 20 minutes (100 Pesos) - rates too pricy for this hotel Overall - I would not stay there anymore, neither recommend. Pay 50$ more and enjoy your vacation. Tip: Book one night and check on the island what else available.

Recommended budget hotel
This is a basic but comfortable place to stay by the quiet and secluded Dimiwid Beach. This part of the island has a more refined and private atmosphere than the all-hours party of White Beach and its environs. The hotel opens straight onto the sand. We did not have any problems with security or the facilities, and White Beach and the centre of the island is a walk around the headland or a cheap tricycle ride away.

Read this review...it is truthful...
I've been coming to Boracay since 1999, first time staying on Diniwid Beach. I booked here because I was late in booking for the holidays and this was only hotel available at the time on Diniwid...which is where I wanted to stay. Hotel itself is very run down and not well kept. SG-based private owner...elderly doctor so I'm told...that is just taking money out of the resort and putting very very very little, if anything, back in. Very very very poor water pressure...like a few barely trickling streams coming out of a broken shower head...rooms are not well kept and generally not clean. Towels and bed linens stained and not replaced in a long while. Our beds were stiff and barely passable. Location on Diniwid is fantastic though, but please stay at other places on the beach, such as the Microtel or Artista which I think are comparably priced. I'm going again in March, but staying at a place called Beach Resort just 100 metres or so from Orinda. Much nicer...cleaner...and much cheaper if you can believe it. On the plus side, the staff are lovely and very helpful. They are doing their best in a bad situation. Overall, do not stay here at all. Also consider places like the Spider House built into the side of a nearby cliff. I will stay there some time...it's lovely.

A superb Boracay experience
The staff is very friendly. The place is right on the beach with a very beautiful scenic view of the sunset and mountaintop resort situated close to a beautiful sea-side jogging pathway excellent for early morning walk. It is far from the busy noise of tricycle traffic and they offer free shuttle ride to and pick up from the shops and restaurants. It's worth more than your money, I'll go back to the place again on my next visit to Boracay.

Orinda Boracay - Don't raise your expectations
All in all, the hotel is not tragic... but definitely the worst from the ones i've been to in Boracay. Good things: the beachfront is true and the diniwid beach is beatiful and almost private:) Not so good things: Poor location, VERY FAR from the white beach and everywhere, only 2 hotel rooms look like the ones on the pictures, perhaps these are nice with sea view, all others are old, small, below standard. As others mentioned i confirm as well - one of the receptionists has an attitude problem.

Rooms are small, dirty, I had to duck as I came in the room or hit my head on the slanting ceiling. Water pressure was non-existant (shower with drips of water). Overall I would not recommend, never go back and I pretty much took it as a loss and left the next day for another place in Station 2.

I would recommend this hotel to some of my friends, but not some others. It was not geared up for many guests during this offseason. It's away from the main beach but readily accessible by a 5-minute walk around a point of rocks by a walkway. They serve a guest breakfast, but are not geared up for other meals at this time of year. We found a great place 40 meters up the beach at Microtel with good food and a great bar. The room has a kitchenette with a medium-sized refrigerator. i talked with the manager and he has plans to fix some of the shortcomings by November 2011.

Local Style Hotel Appropriate for its Low Room Rates
The hotel staff was very kind, the hotel has a family run, small local hotel feeling. This hotel suits you if you are looking for low rates and looking to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the main beach. If your expectations are in line with the price you pay, you will not be disappointed. Great hotel for those seeking simple accomodation needs, and looking to be in a quiet, smaller beach in the Island apart from the main drag and the bars. They have a complimentary shuttle running guests into town at various hours in the morning and the evening. This is convenient but if you miss the shuttle there are plenty of trikes available to take you into town for 100 pesos each way.

Orinda Boracay- very far from the long beach
Orinda may be good for people who wants to be far and away but if you are after the boracay activities and environment then better find a place near the long beach. They are in station 1 but in diniwid it could be very tricky as majority knows that station 1 is the best place but the hidden agenda their is that station 1 is very long and they are on the end of it. Though, they have free bus going to the long beach it is still very inconvinient aside that once you leave the place you have to bring all the things you need to bring for the whole day there was a time that the driver messed up by not picking you up on the said time. Though it is beach front, it seems that the beach is not usable because they don't clean the area (especially in rainy season, unlike in the long beach after high tide hotels in front have initiative to clean their beach front. Moreover, the crews or staffs were very accomodating and helpful.

The Hotel staff are very helpful, accomodating and always willing to help in any way possible, the location of the Hotel is centralized not to mention the beach access is just outside your door. Only two comments that can be improved upon. The water pressure in the room is very low, and the internet accces aswell is vely slow. Otherwise, I recomend this hotel and willing to stay again. Thank you again to all the staff that made mine and my nrother stay memorable.

if you want to stay in the quiet part of boracay then this hotel is for you, but if you want to be close to the establishments and parties..then might as well book your hotel at station 2. This hotel has very friendly and helpful staff. But the hotel itself is old and the 2 rooms we rented is infested with mosquitoes.

3 nights and 4 days at Orinda
Let's see where to start. I communicated with the hotel prior to our visit to arrange pick up at the jetty port of Boracay. We arrived at the port and none of the hotel staff or the "shuttle" was present. We waited for about 30 minutes and eventually called the hotel to ask where they were at. They told us their shuttle had broken down and they would refund us our fare by tricycle upon arriving to the hotel. So we arrived at the hotel and did as they promised. We checked in and got into our room and much to our surprise it didn't look like the pictures on here or on their website. The room was cramped had a slanting or slope kinda design? i guess. It wasn't a good design to maximize real estate and to feel comfortable. To make the long story short the staff was kind, good people. Hotel is far from the "action" if you take the beach front walk it's a little hard to get to station 2 if the tides are roaring in. You can't walk back from the stations at night. Too dangerous in the dark.IMHO. Their beach front was full of rocks hurt on the feet. We didn't swim there. Shuttle service was not consistent , they had schedules but were late picking us up one night. scheduled service picked up at the d'mall at 10:15pm didn't arrive until nearly 11:00pm. Tables covered with dirty cloth. Maybe I expected too much but they are other hotels for the same price in station 2 right at the d'mall with updated appliances and breakfast included. Their tv at orinda was really small like the size of my thumb but I didn't go there to watch tv. Restroom had a broken shower head so we had to constantly angle the shower head so it wouldn't fall during a shower. I wouldn't recommend staying here. I wish I could say you get what you paid for, but you don't. Nice thing is we got unlimited water from their dispenser and their staff is really nice and free wfi. But thats about it. Needs alot of updating/renovating.

This hotel is great for people looking to not stay in their rooms. The facilities are very basic. It is also a bit far away from the restaurants and bars, about a 15-20 minute walk. However it is cheap, clean and the staff is cordial. Sometimes, that's all you need.

Nice hotel for the price
There was no problem at the hotel, it was clean, very nice, located far from the crowded area. However, it was a very good location for me to exercise taking a walk everyday to "downtown" of white beach, but Diniwid was a very nice place to snorkel and watch a beautiful sunset. The hotel provide a shuttle to dmall which was also very good.

If you want a private beach off the main path.
The hotel is not in Station 1, in fact, it is in Diniwod which is before station 1. It is about 2 miles from station 2, where all the action is, but lwe loved the location. Station 2 and 3 are busy and full of shops, restaurants, bars and a bunch of locals trying to sell you sailing, tours, scuba, etc... Diniwod was private, with a great restaurant and an amazing bay to swim. They have a free shuttle into town and it was only 100 pasos to take a trike a back. We love the bars at night but it was so great to have the quiet beach during the day.
