“Fantastic value”
Having stayed in half-star hostels for the previous two weeks, the Howard Park Plaza hotel was a welcome relief and brilliant valued one night of luxury before heading back to the hostels! Highly recommend to anyone. The staff were extremely helpful, the variety at breakfast was huge and the room was spacious, comfortable and clean. What more could you want for the price?!
“Excellent hotel”
I am astounded to read some negative reviews about this hotel from others! This was one of the nicest hotels we stayed in during our trip to India, the staff were all very friendly and helpful (particularly the handle-barred moustached gentleman on the door!), the rooms were spacious and clean, the bed was comfy, the location is ideal - the Taj was a 10 minute walk/3 minute rickshaw away. Without any doubt this hotel offered the best breakfast buffet we have ever encountered, almost anything you could want was available! The bathrooms are a bit on the small side and it is a fairly generic western style hotel, but for the money and overall standard a very good choice for a few days in Agra.

“refuge from the storm”
This a very nice, western style hotel. It has a big gate that is manned 24/7 and you can escape from the hutsle and din of the city. The dining room has a lovely view of the Taj as you sit and enjoy and sunset drink. The pool is not heated and very cold. Of no use unless you are a polar bear. All else is very lovely.
“Great for the occasion”
Lets face it - Why are you in Agra? The Taj Mahal! and of course Agra Fort. Perhaps a couple of other sights. So, unless you are looking for a resort experience, the Howard Park Plaza is a great hotel. The price is great, the room and bathroom are large and clean and the restaurant on the rooftop is wonderful. We were up early to catch the sunrise at the Taj Mahal and the included breakfast was also available early, was substantial and well serviced. I recommend this hotel.
“great hotel and places around”
a great hotel with great value. its not the cheapest but these have facilities aligned to their ciost ie cheap and bad. this hotel was great and althpough not in oberoi class the location and facilities are more than you could want for at the price. the pool is the icing on the cake, after a day walking around the sights to jump into the cool water is worth a million. i would stay again any time, good facilities, walking distance of the taj and shops and coffee house opposite. another thing to consider when in agra try the green park restaurant bar. not far from hotel, very informal you can sit in a grassy garden and enjoy a beer away from the noise and dust of the street.
“Sarovar's standard is maintained”
Facilities are good. Though we had a choke in the wash in one room, it was immediately attended to. Two restaurants - one multi-cuisine and the other is a barbeque with bar overlooking the Taj. Unfortunately, we got something that faces a school - quiet though. I stayed for a night and it was good. Breakfast was also a nice spread. A lot of good places are located close to the hotel which includes shops, eateries etc.
“Reasonably good hotel”
Compared to the hotels in Agra in the three star and 4 star category this is a reasonably good hotel with good rooms and good dining facility. Nothing extraordinary however staffs are friendly and go out of their way to help you.Morning breakfast buffet is good , the dinner buffet still has lot of scope for improvement. Overall if I have to stay again in Agra, I will prefer this hotel.
