“très bel hotel”
un peu à l'extérieur de la ville mais très grande chambre, très belle salle de bain. parfait
“Good food, great atmosphere”
We stayed at Norwood Hall for 5 nights. We had a junior suite, which we reserved on Expedia for a much lower price than available on their website. The room was beautiful; big bay window, high ceilings, large and modern bathroom. We also had dinner 3 nights in the dining room; food was very good. The staff was very friendly and eager to please. All in all, a very nice place to stay.
“Attentive Friendly Staff”
Norwood Hall is a real gem. Although an older facility, the rooms have been upgraded to modern standards and are exceptionally comfortable. Best of all was the staff. Everyone there was most attentive to every need, always greeted me (usually by name) and engaged in conversation to make me feel at home. I would highly recommend Norwood Hall to Aberdeen visitors, especially those who are on business in the south end of the city.
“Restful Charm”
The Norwood Hotel is situatetd just outside the city centre of Aberdeen and is a quiet and restful place with old world charm. It is the sort of hotel where you can just relax in a comfy chair with a nice glass of wine. If you want to go out then the centre is 10 minutes away in a taxi.
“Nice comfortable Hotel”
Good size rooms and comfortable beds. The older rooms are particularly good. Often used for weddings (understandably). Occasional noise but rarely. Breakfasts are excellent. Hotel meals in bar or restaurant are delicious. Staff were very helpful. Only gripe was charge levied for use of credit card.
“Country Luxury”
The staff and surroundings made this an ideal place to get away.
“Highly recommended”
Very enjoyable and welcoming. Excellent room and staff are extremely helpful. Highly recommended.
“Norwood Hall Hotel - a fine stay!”
When we arrived at the hotel, we were very impressed by the grounds and the historic reception area. The reception desk was very small, so it was quite difficult for more than one party to check-in at any one time. The log fires were very welcoming and really added to the ambience of the property. The property has been extensively and tastefully developed over the years with new rooms and function suites. This has made the hotel layout quite confusing and we had a long walk from reception to our room. Our room (a junior suite) was spacious, well decorated and immaculately clean. The en-suite bathroom was huge with a separate bath and shower cubicle. The king-sized bed was comfortable and the room heating controls were simple. Wi-fi worked first time and every time and anything we needed was provided promptly and cheerfully by any staff we asked, especially the housekeeping staff who called every day to check if we needed fresh towels or more tea, coffee or fresh milk. Breakfast was good, although on busy mornings staff seemed to get a bit flustered, but the food was always excellent.
“Overpriced travelodge”
On arriving at the hotel we were very impressed with the front of hotel and main areas of hotel were fine, we were then given a room at the back of the hotel which turned out to be a very basic room at a level lower than a travelodge not what we were expecting. Bar prices were astronomical. food excellent and the wedding meal was fine. We stayed for 3 nights and they could not manage to deliver a newspaper on any morning using a variety of excuses none of which was there fault.
“Do you like to gamble”
Upon arrival at the hotel the front is very impressive and it is an extremely well maintained with roaring wood fires and a grand entrance hall. However after collecting our key we had to walk a long way to our room with the quality and cleanliness of the hotel deteriorating dramatically on route. The area our room was in stank of damp and was decorated in the 1950’s. The maintenance level of our room was atrocious too, the window did not shut and the bed was collapsing to name a few problems. Now I am willing to admit that this may be very room dependant as the core of the hotel and surrounding rooms looked very nice but ask yourself if you are willing to gamble
