"Perfect hotel "
Perfect hotel outside of Lisbon. Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in July. -Close to Lisbon, 20-25min drive (taxi 35-40 euros) or 45 mins train (2.50 euros on way). Station close to hotel. -The most friendly and helpful staff from reception to room service and restaurants. -Outdoor swimming pool with great views of the sea. -Buffet breakfast had a great selection and helpful staff. -An amazing gym with many classes and indoor swimming pool. -Upgraded our room to sea view. -Hotel organised a JH to pick us up from hotel and drop us off. Very comfortable journey, on time and friendly. -Many beaches and restaurants close to hotel. -Clean, excellent room service throughout the day. -Perfect hotel if you want a city and beach holiday. Beach right outside the hotel and Lisbon a short journey away

"Excellent hotel with attentive staff"
Overall standard of facilities excellent and the staff were very attentive. Only one slight problem with a restaurant booking which wasn't handled tremendously well by the manager at the time but we don't want that to taint our great week.Great location.

"Lovely Hotel, mostly great service, a few anomalie"
Cascais is lovely, and the hotel provided a close to 5 star experience. Enjoyed great local food (in restaurants, the hotel food was a bit pants), my favourite was the barbecued chicken and seafood, and over-indulging in Santini's the local ice cream parlour. Golf was great, as was the local facilities for running, cycling or surfing.

"Wonderful week at a Beautiful Pousada!!!"
The location couldn't be better, with the views over the ocean, and where you can walk out from the beautiful Citadel grounds into the middle of the wonderful vibe of Cascais. Lots of extra touches, from a wonderful breakfast, super clean luxurious rooms, turn down service, great pools, friendly attentive staff, a boxed breakfast provided for our early morning departure to the airport, and our regular morning wakeup call from the peacock across at the park. We will return!!!

"An oasis and a gem"
This is a place that we would definitely return to. The hosts are most welcoming and the guesthouse indeed has plenty of charm. The rooms are comfortable and the pool is a fantastic place to pass the time of day. The breakfasts are spot on and we could not fimd fault anywhere. Not that we even bothered looking! My wife is pregnant and on leaving, our hostess Suzanna gave us a little gift for the baby (a sweet babygrow)... when does that ever happen in this day and age. Wonderful....

"Nice hotel to unwind"
This is a very nice hotel but for us, it's a little too far away from everything. If you are planning to hire a car, the nearest built up area is about 5-10 mins drive. Cascais itself is about 15-20 mins drive. The room we had (119) was lovely. Very large with huge sliding doors onto a balcony where you could sit and get the sun in the afternoon /evening. The bathroom was luxurious with a rain shower and nice lighting and toiletries. The bed was huge and they also provided bathrobes and slippers. We had a small kitchen area with a fridge, sink and small two ring halogen hob. Plenty of cutlery/crockery and what you didn't have you could ask for at reception. The restaurant is nice-we only ate there once but what we had was nice.(bit pricey) The downside of this hotel is there is no atmosphere. The bar area which is in the lobby is never manned. You have to press a call bell for someone to come and serve you. There never seemed to be any guests there. And the service is incredibly SLOW. A waitress spilled a small beer on our table and the floor where we were sitting and it still hadn't been cleaned up when we left 25 mins later much to the amusement of everyone walking past! I would stay here again but I would hire a car. The hotel has a shuttle van but you have to book it a couple of days in advance. Cabs are reliable and cheap though.
