The Duodo palace was the perfect place to stay to visit all the main attractions in Venice. It is centrally placed between San Marco and Rialto Bridge and was reasonably easy to locate after arriving by water bus from the airport. The hotel is in a quiet little square just off the main thoroughfare. The reception staff were very helpful and able to give us lots of information on places to visit. The rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean. Breakfast was continental and self service with the option of having a cooked breakfast at extra cost. We found the continental to be quite sufficient and it was regularly freshly restocked.
All in all we had a wonderful time both at the hotel and in Venice City and would certainly recommend this as an excellent holiday destination!

Superb hotel that lives up to the high expectations set by previous reviews.
Quality exudes throughout, from the attentive staff, to the 'happy hour' nibbles in the evening.
The hotel is only a couple of bridges....5 mins....from the bus station, vaparetto stop. Very convenient but is located in a quiet back canal.
Best in Venice, don't go anywhere else!!!!!

We traveled up from Tuscany to spend a few days in Venice and this hotel is the perfect location and an excellent hotel! It's location in a tranquil setting provides for an excellent night's sleep! The breakfast buffet was a great selection of fruits, pastry, eggs, meats and cheese! The hotel staff assisted us in purchasing our train tickets and with the station just minutes away, it was so easy to travel into Venice! Will return to this hotel when we return to Venice!

If you want a luxurious stay that is only five minutes walk from the Rialto Bridge and St Mark's Square this is the Hotel for you. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble and they all speak very good English.

This is a wonderful hotel in a beautiful city. We had a junior suite which had plenty of space with a loverly bathroom and a narrow balcony with a table and two chairs where we could sit and look out at the roof tops.
