"Resort vacation"
This was our honeymoon and first time visiting Hawaii. I've been to Europe and South America and by far this is the best place to ultimately relax. The atmosphere and activity was impressing. Hotel staff made you feel like royalty and any needs were attended at all times. If I could afford to buy I would do so only at Kaanapali Alii.

"Small bathroom"
Nice staff and close to beach...the bathroom counter was really small hardly room for putting items on the counter and we had to call to complain that the water out of the shower head was stinging us they sent someone to fix it but I don't know what they did it was still the same.

"Lovely apartments, great location."
We travelled with our 4 young children and the facilities were great. It had three large pools to choose from and had easy access to the beach where we had great snorkeling available with lots of fish, coral and even turtles!! It had pool bars, restaurants and a free shuttle into the little town. Initially when we arrived we were placed in a room looking into the carpark which upset me as I had paid for an ocean view, but the staff quickly changed us when I expressed my disappointment! I would return here...

"Mahalo to the Hyatt Regency for a great visit!"
Everything was excellent for us at the Hyatt Regency: the room, the grounds, the staff (concierge, housekeeping, check-in/check-out and the valet). The help was friendly (aloha) never seemed to push for tips (even though they were tipped) and we weren't hounded to buy timeshares (the Marriott Maui really is pushy with it out on the Kaanapali beach walk...I'm glad that I didn't stay there). The Hyatt's grounds are really beautiful. You can literally take 100 pictures of different things/views (from penguins, swans, ducks, landscaping, etc.). The room we received (Partial Ocean view) on the 18th floor exceeded expectations because we could see the ocean, beautiful hills and golf course from the Lanai. I took numerous pictures from the Lanai alone. The Drums Luau was excellent, too. The dancers and musicians were top notch. I wanted to stay longer. Hawaii is expensive, but I have no buyer's remorse for staying at the Hyatt Regency. We stayed there 5 days. In Kaanapali you can drive to Iao Valley to see the needle in less than an hour. It takes barely over an hour to get to Paia. You can see Ho'okipa beach in Paia. It's the biggest beach in terms of surfing. There are also sea turtles there. I didn't use the Concierge to set up shuttles for those visits. I rented a car, which I recommend that people do when they visit Maui. But, the Hyatt also can help people arrange for those kinds of excursions and other excursions such as the Road to Hana and Sunset at Haleakala

"Great Hotel. Oceanside at Kaanapali. "
Very nice stay at the Marriott on Kaanapali. Rooms with a view of the ocean/beach are worth the extra money. Three nice pools. Grounds are immaculate. Restaurant is very good. Will definitely return to this hotel.

Pocket Guide: Maui Island Kaanapali 4 stars Green / Sustainable Hotels

Kaanapali is a prime vantage point for viewing humpback whales, which swim by December to May. The town’s whaling history is displayed at Whaler’s Village, a shopping complex and museum. Visitors also can experience the area’s farming past by riding the Sugar Cane Train, a restored steam locomotive. Snorkelers and divers can enjoy the coral reefs and fish that thrive in nearby Black Rock Beach.
