"Great location between bushwalks and town centre!"
Very friendly welcome, Kubba Roonga is a beautiful, well-run 'bed & breakfast' in a heritage house. It feels like a home rather than a place to just put your bags and sleep (of course you can do that if you wish!). That being said, there are amazing bushwalks nearby from beginner level - only requiring a willingness to walk (I'm no fitness fanatic) to advanced, so we were out most of the day. Would like to have spent more time relaxing at the guest house, I'm sure it would be very cosy in cold weather or the snow. Speaking of weather, in our 3 days in the Blue Mountains we didn't see ONE burnt tree, it seems the hyper-vigilance and media frenzy over bushfires has scared people away when only certain areas were affected (around Zig Zag I believe). I guess it's better to be extra cautious at the time, but all was fine early Feb 2014.
