Excellent hotel location in the City of Guangzhou. The subway access is just outside the hotel, the surrounding area affords a wide variety of resturants, hangout spots, 10 minute walk to shopping on Beijing Lu (Beijing Road), another 10 minute walk to the wild water front area of the Pearl River.
After 11pm your guests need to be checked in at the front desk (with credentials) and check out on the way out after their visit. The staff speaks proficient English at the front desk, you can exchange money and room assistance is excellent.
We had a standard room and was immediately upgraded to a business class room for free. Maybe a one time thing...who knows.
Even though I never ate at the hotel, the prices is affordable...if not the options are endless around the Haizu Square area where the hotel is located.

This is the second time staying there and it's my go-to place in GZ.
The staff spoke great english and were very professional. The room was clean as always and the breakfast was about as good as the really high-end hotels in bigger cities I've stayed in.
It's a great location and great for shopping and nearby food as well as transportation.
Where else can you stay with a great view of the river, internet, and breakfast for that price. i'm a big fan of this hotel.
hotel is conveniently located close to guangzhou metro system**. hotel staff were very nice despite the fact that some can only speak mandarin which was impossible for me to communicate as i only speak cantonese and english. complimentary western breakfast was actually delicious of course wasn't mind blowing. the price i paid through expedia was definitely worth it. room is spacious with air conditioning. shower is separate from bathroom inside the room.
**guangzhou metro system not only will take you just about anywhere but it is very easy to use with english subtitles. ALERT!!! MAKE SURE TO HAVE ALL ITEMS IN FRONT OF YOU AT ANY TIME WHEN YOURE TAKING ANY TRANSPORTATION ESPECIALLY METRO. OTHER RIDERS ARE RUDE AND WILL PUSH AND PULL TO GET THEIR WAY IN AND OUT OF THE TRAIN.
great hotel. unfortunately they do not have the wake up call service. oh well.
I've stayed before, and will continue to book at this hotel. It is walking distance from the train station and very convenient for the kind of shopping I need. Also convenient to many amenities. My room had a great view of the train station, it overlooks a treed park like setting, and great for people watching too. I always book room with breakfast. some of the rooms are not large, so even when I prebook the room I may ask to see other rooms rather than settle on the first one offered. The rates go up a lot during Canton Fair time, so I'd recommend getting a prepaid prebooked expedia rate if travel plans coincide with Canton Fair
