"Excellent Customer Service!"
In March 2015 I went skiing in Vail and stayed at the Holiday Inn Apex hotel. Skiing was great and thanks to the very friendly and customer oriented hotel staff it was a very memorable experience. What I am especially thankful for is that I lost my Oakleys in the hotel and the staff made sure I got them back by wrapping them up safely and sending them back to me. Well done!

"Hotel located within walking distance of stores."
Loved the opportunity to take the shuttle bus into Vail Village. Also, the hotel is within walking distance of grocery store Safeway, McDonalds, Subway, and other businesses.

"Great hotel and a great location!"
5-10 minute walk to lifts and central Beaver Creek area. I will say that it is an easy ski out, but not an easy ski in - You are better off taking the shuttle on the way back unless you like to walk with your ski boots. It is an easy ski out to 2 lifts, including the main lift Centennial. The location is good in that it is a little away from central Beaver Creek. This hotel has some of the best views in Beaver Creek because it sits higher than most other Lodges. Beaver Creek itself is great. I would definitely come back and actually prefer it over Vail as far as the resort area is concerned. Much more skiing at Vail, but for Beginner/Intermediate skiing, Beaver Creek is perfect.

"lodging for ski trip in Vail, CO"
Basically it was ok. Bathrooms were updated, but rest of room could use an update. Rooms generally smelled like household cleaner. Staff was not overly helpful nor friendly. Adequate at best. Breakfast buffet overpriced in my opinion, but I guess that is Vail for you. Did not try the in lodge restaurant. No printer available to print boarding pass unless they printed it for you. Pool was out of order the entire stay.

"Perfect for family ski vacation. "
We stayed here March 2015 for 7 days with our three kids, ages 7-13, and 6 adult family members. The location is excellent, facilities clean and well kept. The ski valet greeted us each day as we exited the slopes, took our skis and hosted us with hot chocolate, apple cider and hot cookies. We were able to rent skis on sight, walk to ski lessons, lift tickets and gondola all within 100 yards. The staff of the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations and reservations. We congregated for coffee each morning and ate several meals in the on site restaurant El Sabor. We will stay at this location again and again!

"Overall good experience, would rate it 3.5"
All in all a good experience. Was a blessing to get a room on short notice after prior arrangements with another provider fell through. Our room (5-16) was more like a condo than a hotel; not a bad thing. Was roomy and comfortable overall. Had exterior entry and no elevator. Pretty good location in East Vail. Not real close to Vail Village, but just a short bus (free) or car ride away. Staff could put more emphasis on their customer needs over their check in/check out policy. Were friendly enough, just very rigid in their policy with a travel-weary family that didn't need to wait around for the 4:00 check in time, and rush out the next morning by the 10 am deadline. Would consider staying their again.

The rooms are backwards. They have bedrooms first and living room in the back just felt like when u come in ur room open the door to living room kitchen., so, everyone is not going in and out of ur bedroom first.
