I was only there for a conference which happened to be in the same hotel. The weekend prior, I stayed in a pricey "four-star" hotel in Chicago's downtown and aside from being in the center of the metropolis of Chicago, it had nothing on the Biltmore. Staff attentiveness, good food in the restaurants, all machines working in the easily found gym, and it probably helped that my room was upgraded at the last minute for whatever reason - all made for a perfect stay. I had stayed here before years ago, and it was good back then. But this time, it was great.

"Inexpensive for business and conference travelers"
Just a block away you can spend $200 a night for a room. By comparison, San Jose Airport Garden is much less expensive and has willing-to-please hosts, comfortable beds, free (and responsive) airport shuttle service, free (unsecured) wi-fi, and offers a full American breakfast as a bonus. I had an upstairs room facing the courtyard--a pleasant view with no road noise and a good feeling of security. It is not as new and shiny as the places you can spend much more on. I was unexpectedly pleased to find this hotel was entirely comfortable for my expectations. I would stay here again for conferences and other business visits.
