If you want to walk to all the attractions in the centre of Oslo and come back to a beautifully appointed room looked after by wonderfully friendly and helpful staff, this is the place. I haven't tried the breakfast.

Apart from a slight hiccup when we arrived (we couldn't find the main office to check-in), our stay at the Arbinsgate apartments was wonderful. The room was excellent and the location was superb. Definitely recommending this accommodation to anyone interested in staying in Oslo.

Very friendly and helpful staff, great service, included buffet breakfast very good, especially considering how extremely expensive Norwegian prices are. The bathroom is quite big in comparison to other Oslo hotels. The hotel is only a short walk to the Metro station and the suburb is only a ten minute train ride from the city centre, within public transport zone one (cheap ticket). If I make it to Oslo again, I´ll undoubtedly go back to Hotell Montebello.

Hotel is located close to the airport in a peaceful location. The Nettbus is used as the hotel shuttle, however it is a little pricey but necessary to get from the airport to the hotel (and back). We ate an appetizer in the restaurant and the stiff was young, but friendly. Our family had the quad bunk room (127), which was bright, clean & comfortable and a nice feature is that the window opens for fresh air. The breakfast is incredible, not to be missed.

Gardermoen Hotel Bed & Breakfast is a fine place to stay if you need to be close to the airport, or even if you don't. If you want to stay here & take the train from the airport into Oslo, they will take you to the airport & pick you back up (for 60NOK each way). It's nothing fancy, but it has all the basics. Hotel staff was very, very friendly.

Smart hotel is a good option for a quick stopover or those travelers who are not waiting a kingsize rooms. Beside the room size (it's tiny) everything is perfect: location - 15 min by walk to Oslo S, 5 min to Karl Jonas gate st, cleaniness, cute design, friendly stuff.

Having travelled all over the world I find a fairly central city centre location is often best as it allows for both easy access to night life and also not long travel times to museums and other travel hubs in a city after doing a days work in a city.
This being right next door to a mainline underground station is a real plus and also having trams go past the hotel allows for ease of travel round the city. This is only one small street from the major street leading from the train station and the opera house to the royal palace the other end with all the top restaurants and major world brands in close proximity depending on preference.
In most cities to find a hotel in this location and with the facilities on offer you would expect to pay 2-3 times the rate of this hotel and in a Nordic country the cost was very very reasonable
