Located on the quieter side of Ortigia within Syracuse, this is a gem of a hidden hotel. Great service, great rooms, and great interior. Some of the sea view rooms also look out over the sunrise on the sea in the middle of summer. Wonderful.
We were very happy with our stay at Domus Mariae Benessere in Ortygia. The room was fairly small but comfortable and the bathroom was very nice. The staff were pleasant and it was easy to walk around the island from the hotel. Breakfast was very good.

Stayed one night in April 2014. The staff was super friendly and helpful, the location is great (easy to park nearby) and the room was modern and clean. We had a great stay. Breakfast was amazing, in the terrace.

Wonderful B&B perfectly located on Ortygia (Siracusa). The B&B is in a beautiful old building right on the Piazza Archimedes, though our room was protected from any noise on the piazza by facing a quiet side street. The host was welcoming and helpful with recommendations for restaurants and itinerary. The room was well air-conditioned and comfortable. Breakfast was good and served in a cheerful, sunny room overlooking the Piazza.

Narrow alleys with character ,friendly locals who even knowing we were tourists spent the time talking to us and clearly enjoyed sharing their life. Close enough to walk to the Duomo , the market -absolutely fab with traders offering advice and bending over to be helpful be it only for a couple of hundred grammes of pomodori secchi.
Our roof top appt was spacious ,with a view out to sea great for relaxing on an evening and an early morning read in peace we were not disturbed by any noises from the street and area. The only down side was a shower cabinet which was too small for any one with a waist of above 32" Towels were changed every day and fresh soaps laid out.
Staff were very helpful and clearly took pride in the hotel.Simply we would go back again at the drop of a hat.
Super service from the friendly, helpful, staff throughout our 5 night stay . Clean modern facilities and excellent cold buffet breakfast included ( cold meats and cheeses , pastries and bread , cereal, fresh fruit , coffee, tea and juice ) .
Perfect central location on Ortigia island for all attractions in Syracuse . Walls between rooms quite thin and internal noise does travel - but not unduly disturbing ( we had a quiet back of hotel 1st floor room looking onto a courtyard ). All in all would recommend as good value for its 3 star rating.
