"Lovely hotel in real Paris"
I used to live around the corner from where this hotel is and it really is a great neighborhood to see a slice of real Paris away from the tourist hordes. All renovated. Small rooms, but that's expected for Paris. Comfy beds and very good staff.

"Nice hotel, very helpful friendly staff"
Nice hotel, very helpful friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Directly opposite the tube but walkable to town if you like a stroll. The rooms are small but it really isn't a problem.woild recommended booking a deal including breakfast so you can fill up for the day. Eating out in Paris has gone up a fear deal since I was last there 3 years ago.

"Un Excellent Accueil"
I ditto what the other reviews said about the excellent location, close to metro lines and restaurants. But, what was not mentioned is that there is a Monoprix (the French version of Target or Wal-Mart). The downstairs is the grocery section where you can get fruits, snacks, wine, liquor, and water. A liter of Vittel mineral water cost 0.60 euros. Go here for your grocery shopping if you're on a budget. Yes, my room was small and I figure the size had to be mentioned so that Americans who are so used to oversized American hotel rooms would not be caught off guard. However, I must admit that the two of us had a problem fitting two roll aboards in the room. The bathroom on the other hand was plenty large with a tub, a sink, a shower and commode and plenty of room to maneuver. Our room was on the main floor at the end - No. 9. It was very quiet, very clean room with a firm bed and very clean bathroom. I felt that the price was reasonable (Paris is an expensive city) and the room was a great value. In addition to air conditioning, the WiFi is free and there is a TV. Breakfast was not included in the price, but at 12 euros, you get a large variety of breakfast food (coffee, tea, orange juice, tartines, croissants, deli meats, eggs, cereal, fruit) and it's all you can eat. You couldn't get a better deal at the local cafes.

"Good neighbourhood for restaurants and near metro"
The only potential problem could be noisy neighbours but a lovely hotel, room etc in a more residential but very interesting part of Paris, not too difficult to get into the centre and a lot quieter and cleaner - and cheaper. I would def. stay again.

"Charming Hotel by the Station"
Quaint, cute, and charming are some of the words I'd use to describe Hotel De La Paix. Although I only spent one night here, I would be willing to come back for another visit. Given the price and location, it suited me very well. I have not stayed at any other places in the area, but I could not ask for more. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was close to Montparnasse many amenities such as bakeries, grocery/convenience stores, local restaurants, and even a Univelo (bike rental). The room was big enough, a bit basic, and the washroom was clean. For this type of accommodation, it was suited for what I needed given the price and location. A very charming place indeed!

"Great hotel to explore the city"
From check in to check out, the staff were perfect. Downstairs lobby area and bar were highly presented. The lift was a tad small so maybe only suitable for 2 at a time with luggage. WiFi is free (or was as part of my booking) and is offered as a 48hr log in service per device - requested 3 codes each time without questionso assume its as many as required. The bed was nice and comfy, bathroom spacious and all turned down nicely each day with fresh stocks of necessities and tea/coffee as required. Location is on a quiet street, very close to supermarkets and direct line of sight to Eiffel Tower from the corner store - walkable in about 30 minutes following metro line 6 from Montparnasse to Bir Hakeim. Local metro (Pernety) is a few hundred yards walk and as with most lines in Paris, operates about once every 5 minutes. Day before checkout my wife was feeling a little peaky, so decided against my usual Metro/RER trip back to CDG Airport, instead asking front desk about their shuttle service, at 8pm the night before i was a little doubtful, but Olivier was confident and after a few minutes on the phone had secured passage for €36 for both including 2 suitcases and 2 hand luggage €16 payable to desk, €20 to driver (very reasonable when Metro is €1.70 and RER €9.50) Only negative would be breakfast, not in quality, but pricing, bookable the night before for €10 or on the day for €13 - although being completely honest, this is normal for Paris, its just a personal gripe i have.

"Lovely and Charming"
This is a lovely hotel in the quiet, residential 14th arrondissement. The bus to take you to the popular sights (i.e., Louvre, Eiffel Tower, etc.) is almost at your door, as is a metro station. There are several supermarkets, restaurants and pastry shops within a block or two. The staff is extremely helpful, especially Mano. The room took some adjustment as the toilet and sink were not in the same room, which at first drove me crazy, but is a typically setup in Paris. Otherwise, it was extremely comfortable. Their buffet breakfast was a great way to start my day -- I was often not hungry again until 3 p.m. I would recommend this hotel very highly to anyone.
