Spent a couple of days in Manila as part of a trip to Asia. I'd booked with another hotel nearby that was so terrible I walked away from my last two prepaid nights (of three) and moved to the Manila Pavilion. I booked a room on the executive floor and it was worth the extra money. The floor was quiet, well air conditioned, clean and modern in every way - it was everything the hotel I left wasn't. Do yourself a favor and don't cheap out on your Manila hotel. This place was nice.
Overall it was an "okay" stay.
* near MOA, Luneta Park and Starbucks :)
* bathroom is clean
* windows are quite dirty
*pool is small and pool area looks very dull
* lobby looks very outdated
I've stayed here several times and am generally happy with the experience.
I was disappointed to note that their pricing is sometimes misleading. On another website the hotel was shown as a "Special" with a rate of (as far as I recall) $AU72 for a direct booking so decided to book. When I checked my bank balance I found that I had been charged $AU99 - a 30% increase - I immediately cancelled and booked via Expedia. If they cannot be transparent with their pricing, then I for one will not book directly with them.
Stayed 2 nights while waiting for our flight back to states. Convenient to downtown and airport. Older, but comfortable hotel. Computer facilities for flight confirmation for a reasonable fee. Helpful staff. 2 good restaurants on premises. All in all a good place to prepare for flight. Older, but still comfortable facilities. As everywhere in the Philippines; a very pleasant and helpful staff.
Arrived at the hotel at night and it was raining bad and it there was flood.Took awhile before hotel crew managed to help us come out from the taxi.It seems that they don't have emergency plan in case of heavy rain and flooding in manila and this area always flood whenever it rain.Restaurant fair,server fair.Bedsheets very old.Cannot adjust with the warm shower,no matter how you adjust it still give very hot water.
decent, but not a 4.5 or 5 star place. Affordable.
Most issues I had we beyond the control of the hotel or the staff.
The staff is very good.
Traffic noise, but traffic was everywhere.
Some remodeling, but did not hear any noise or problems with anything associated with that.
It is what it is, close to Robinsons Mall, the US embassy, Casino across the street, Rizal Park, and the Baywalk.

Casa Bocobo is a great value for money. It's not luxurious, but the staff are friendly, helpful, and honest. I stayed in a superior double, room 257. The room was clean and nicely laid out. Lots of cable channels and a new-looking wall A/C unit. Water heating wasn't great, but not bad. The breakfast was very edible but nothing to write home about. Small portions, too, but they'll refill your coffee for free. Seems like many guests are Asians and particularly Filipino visiting Manila. Note: on my first night they 'upgraded' me to a larger room that had a much older A/C and a not-so-hot water heater, so consistency room-to-room might be an issue. Location-wise, it's right near Kalaw Avenue. You're walking distance from Rizal Park and Intramuros, which is great. It is a short walk from the United Nations Ave LRT stop, so you can get around very easily. By rail, it takes maybe 25-30 minutes to get to Makati during the day, 25-30 minutes to Cubao, and just 15 minutes to Binondo.
"Walking distance to the mall- everything is there!"
It's always a thrill to be in Manila- Las Palmas makes it all the more better because it is so close to everything- mall, restaurants along Roxas Blvd- we walked to Aristocrat, my fav eating place since childhood..

"Hotel close to some attractions but a few concerns"
Hotel rooms were fine but WiFi seemed a bit unstable. There are 2 elevators and front desk is located on 9th floor, which means there can be some waiting anytime you want to go in and out of your room or to the front desk. Breakfast area was nice. Ermita area doesn't seem like a nice area to walk around but heading toward Intramuros area is nice.
