Overall, the hotel was excellent. The only disappointing part of our stay was inability to connect, or stay connected to the hotel WiFi while in our room. If we used our electronics in the hotel lobby, the connection was excellent. We did report this to hotel front desk staff, but unfortunately, didn't do this until we checked out, and we really should have said something when we first discovered the internet connection problem - vs - waiting until our stay ended. I'm confident they would have looked into and tried to fix our situation if we would have mentioned it sooner.

"Convenient to Metro"
Very convenient to the metro. Quiet. Hotel was sold out, but we heard no noise from within. Rooms are very small, but we don't mind. Common area nice and spacious. Would be tough with kids, I think although we did see families.

"Very convenient location and very nice place."
Travelling with 3 boys is generally quite stressful, but we found this place very convenient. It was well located, near to a WholeFoods supermakret, the Metro and, for us, easy walking distance to all the main sights. The kitchenette was just what we needed and the room set up had a properly separated sleeping area from the sofabed and rollaway bed, which everyone appreciated! Helpful and friendly staff. The hotel's only downside is that some voice noise can come through the air vents, but everyone has to sign a 'be quiet/no noise' form with a $150 fine if there are complaints. I felt I could almost have complained about another room's chatting, but didn't and they were quiet by 11pm. It was only audible in the bedroom so didn't disturb the boys at all.

"The best staff and hotel I've ever stayed in!"
I spent a lot of time researching what hotel to stay in while visiting Washington as I was traveling with my kids. Beyond the perfect location for DC, (blocks and central to the White House, National Mall, Dupont Circle, The Metro, and Georgetown), I wanted a good size room as we were staying for a week. The room featured an L-shape couch and coffee table to relax or play on, plenty of floor space, as well as wall to wall windows that open. Beyond the location and the room itself, the Quincy has one of the most thoughtful, and genuine groups of people working there that I've ever encountered. We were treated with professionalism, smiles, and kindness from the start. Our stay was during Easter week, and also my sons birthday. Much to my surprise on Easter morning, I found 2 Easter baskets outside our door, I was blown away. The day after Easter, my little one turned 6. After a long day of seeing the sights and walking around, we arrived to our room to find balloons, a hand written card from the staff, 3 Orangina's, and a little bag of candy tied up for each of my kiddos. This to me, was the true definition of customer service, but beyond that, these kind people went out of their way, and spent their own money, and took the time to make it a special day. When we left, I felt like I had just visited my friends. So a huge thanks to the Quincy, and especially to Tylor, Selena, Fahib, Manny, Neal, and Miguel. You helped make it one of the best vacations we've had!

The hotel was very clean...comfortable. Loved it having 2 separate inside the bath room and one on the outside. I wish it had more restaurants closer. Was impressed with the security.

Pocket Guide: Washington Downtown Washington D.C. 3 stars Hotels

Downtown DC is awash with culture. The Smithsonian Institution museum complex flanks the National Mall. The Washington Monument bisects the Mall, just south of the White House. Federal agency headquarters house bureaucrats of varying stripes. Moneyed and powerful lobbyists help create (and quash) laws from K Street. Chinatown and the Washington Convention Center lie east of downtown.
