"Really beautiful relaxing hotel"
Me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel after spending a few days in Bangkok. When we arrived we were knackered as we got the sleeper train up all the way, immediately the staff made us feel really welcome and ever though we couldn't checked into our room until 2pm it was still absolutely fine. They have a really nice coffee shop next door where we chilled out until our room was ready. The room it's self was fairly basic however it was really clean and to be honest we were literally only in there to sleep so it didn't really matter. We both had spa treatments which were also good, they did a two for one offer for us as well. They pool areas are beautiful as well, only down side was they were freezing. The girls that work on reception were really helpful with everything, they booked pretty much everything for us and anything that needed translating, they just did it. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel, I'm a pretty demanding person and it lived up to all my expectations!!

"Great base for travellers"
My wife and I stayed here for four nights in March in a family suite, plenty of room. The location was great for us, around 10 minutes walk to Night bazaar, Andusan food markets, massage outlets and supermarket. The cooked brekki , either Western or Thai, was average; better off with the yummy Khao Tom rice porridge. Restaurant food is a bonus, as there is no plus plus, making it well priced. The serves are of a good size, but not over sized, although the tempura prawn entree was huge. Quality is also there, the soft shell crab in curry was a standout dish for us. All staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. The only downer in Chiang Mai of our stay was the smoke, even in shopping centres, caused by Hill Tribe burnings at this time of the year, affecting photography and causing respiratory problems.

"Great Location. Recommended."
Great location, near all the temples and local sights. Right on the east edge of the wall/moat of the old city. Clean rooms, friendly staff, great breakfast. Only downside if the typical high internet costs for Thailand's hotels.

"Perfect boutique hotel close to the old city!"
Our stay at the Thannatee Boutique Hotel was excellent. We were collected from the airport by hotel staff in a private shuttle and greeted with warm smiles and tea by reception staff upon arriving at the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by our room - we had booked one of the less expensive and slightly smaller rooms and found ourselves in a space with a king sized bed, wardrobe, large bathroom with two different types of shower head, television, fridge, air conditioning, pedestal fan, and small powder/dressing table. The bed was firm but comfortable and the housekeeping services were impeccable! We did not utilise the (by booking) free shuttle services available very often due to doing a lot of on-foot exploring of the city, but when we did it was very helpful to be dropped off directly where you wanted to be by someone who knew what they were doing. It was slightly more expensive to purchase food or alcohol at the hotel (as is expected), but the food was tasty and the wait time was minimal. We were also not restricted to eating or drinking in the restaurant area - we spent many days eating lunch and sipping on a cocktail poolside. The hotel staff were exceptionally polite, courteous, and friendly. They were all very kind people and, as we stayed during Songkran, extended that kindness and friendliness by inviting us to celebrate with them and participate in some Songkran fun. Were very sad to leave the amazing people who were working at Thannatee! We will be back!

"Great hotel on a budget"
For £20 a night this hotel is amazing- big rooms, complimentary drinks and nibbles, clean and quite. The breakfast was just what you needed. Only downside was the sauna and stream room, but its hot enough anyway. Close to the night bazaa as well.

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. Mostly clean and a comfortable stay. Walls are a bit thin so we can hear our neighbors. I would stay there again
