"Nice convenient rural type setting heading North"
Since we are not as comfy driving in Wpg., we found this location to be perfect and easy to find. When we arrived at the front desk we were awaited by a friendly patient gentleman, who welcomed us and assisted us as we checked in. The room was so nice and clean as soon as we entered, it was great to have the convenience of being able to adjust the temperature in our room to our comfort. We had a very comfy mattress to fulfill a great nights sleep. I really appreciated the fact that the room included a fridge.
Since I have done housekeeping myself, I know the importance and the work that goes into having tidy homes when clients arrive home and in our case a room to enjoy at Motel 6. Cleaning is not an necessarily an easy job, but definitely rewarding for those of us who appreciate cleanliness. Please pass on a hearty "THANK-YOU" to your cleaning staff!!!

Friendly and helpful staff. Surprisingly good breakfast that is better quality than you find at budget hotels in the U.S. (including even U.S. EconoLodges). Very comfortable bed and room. Free parking, safe, within driving distance of many points of interest. No reason to pay more at a more expensive hotel when visiting Winnipeg if you have this hotel to choose from.

This hotel is perfect for the traveller who wants an inexpensive stay in Winnipeg. It's close enough to pretty good spots in town and the inside is nice. There is a TON of road construction that's kind of annoying but isn't a reflection on the hotel. Nice clean, quiet room and friendly staff. Would definitely stay there again.

I took my son and his friend for an overnight getaway and would not hesitate to do it again. Probably one of the most positive experiences I've had. The staff was friendly and helpful right from the reservation. Check in was quick and easy, the room was exactly what we asked for and was clean and spacious. We had a poolside room which was surprisingly quiet. The pool area was wonderful, with lots of live trees and plants and lots of sunshine. The pool, kiddie pool and hot tub were all extremely clean and there is lots of space to lounge and watch the kids. There is an area with table to eat and plastic cup dispensers on the wall since glass isn't allowed. The restaurant in the hotel had great pizza and there is a bowling alley in the basement. There is a Salisbury House and Safeway in the same lot as well.A great time was had by all and we will be going back for sure!
It's a lovely old building and a little worn around the edges but I enjoyed my stay. My fellow 'guests'
were 'interesting' and a little challenging but I had no problems other than having to listen them murdering great songs at the karaoke in the bar! The hotel was fine, a clean comfortable room and an excellent complimentary breakfast in the lovely restaurant. The staff were polite, friendly and efficient with a special mention to John and Marilyn at the desk and Alma who took care of my room. The 'downtown' area isn't great and a little threatening with beggars and some drunks but I had no hastle.
It was good value and I would certainly stay there again.
