Great place to stay in Venice. Warm and cozy, within walking distance of Piazza San Marco and yet far enough away from the tourist hustle-and-bustle which made for a peaceful, quiet sleep. We only stayed in Venice one night, but when we come back we'd certainly stay again at La Residenza.

Upon arrival we were greeted by a very helpful and friendly receptionist who helped us take our suitcases to the annex. The room was pretty and VERY large for a hotel in Venice, (I stayed at a different hotel in April, and my room was 1/3 the size and more expensive). The #1 vaporetto is right around the corner, making it easy to get around Venice. During our stay, all of the staff greeted us with smiles, and overall we had a wonderful time.

This hotel is reasonably priced, clean, and convenient to Venice, though not IN Venice. It is a 10 or at most 15 minute bus ride. The bus stop is a two minute walk to hotel. Good breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. All in all, an excellent place to stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a 26 night European adventure. We were visiting Venice and have been a number of times before and so didn't feel the need to stay right in the City. This hotel was about 25km away and the round trip bus journey from the centre of Dolo was about 40mins and cost 14Euros for 2 return.
It is a simple elegant hotel and we really enjoyed our two nights there. We opted for breakfast which was cheap (3Euros each per night) and was simple and adequate for the price.
The staff were really helpful (especially the German lady) and the meal we had on our second night was excellent and good value.
The room was comfortable and public areas very nice. There is a hostel type element in the complex as well, but we were in the main hotel part.
Would we stay again, most definitely.

Lovely clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff, and easily reached from Venice by taking a boat to the Lido and then a bus. Not a brilliant view, and the breakfast was pretty poor, but still excellent value for money.

This hotel was conveniently located close to the rail, bus and vaporetto terminals. It's situated in a quiet courtyard which was nice to come back to at the end of the day and be away from the hordes of tourists. The room was beautifully decorated in a 18th century Venetian style with brocade walls and marble floors. The bathroom was quite generous in size. There was a free breakfast included which was basic and was on the sweet side which is how the Italians like it. Our initial greeting was a little gruff (the same staff member was very pleasant when we checked out though), however we found the younger staff to be very helpful and friendly. There were many restaurants located near the hotel and we loved sitting out by the canals for dinner. Venice is incredibly romantic. I would definitely recommend this hotel and thought it was value for money and would love to stay here again!
