On the northern edge of Malta, Sliema forms part of Malta's coastal resort area and is a center for shopping and restaurants. Sliema's Tower Road is a section of a kilometers-long promenade from Gzira to St. Julian's, ideal for walkers and joggers. In addition to its businesses and cafes, the promenade offers plenty of seating, and in the summer becomes a meeting place for locals at the seafront.
