Amazing location was great for us with a car. Hotel was great but a bit noisy at night from other rooms. Great staff and great stay.

"University dormitory turned hotel"
Tidy, clean university dorms turned "hotel" for the summer. Everything you want from budget accommodation. Included a tiny kitchenette which was a nice perk. Would stay again. I had no trouble connecting to the WiFi in the room - I know others had difficulty. Thanks.

Very tidy, near old town. Comfortable rooms well insulated from street noise but still not super quite. Very helpful staff with English far superior to our Spanish. Walking distance from train station.

Hotel Punta Monpás

Calle Jose Miguel Barandiaran, 32, San Sebastian - Map
"Nice location near in a lovely city"
The hotel is all the way at the north east end of San Sebastian. It's about a 15 minute walk to the old city and a little further to the famous La Concha Beach. The block that the hotel is on has some good bars and it's very close to the surfer beach, but other than that it's a pretty quite part of San Sebastian. Still, the exciting stuff is a short walk away. The hotel itself is quite nice, with a modern feel. The staff is very helpful and incredibly nice. One potential issue is that the bathrooms in the hotel room are stained glass only, and very thinly stained glass at that (at least in the one bedroom). If you are sharing a room, make sure that if you are very comfortable with the person you are sharing the room with as there isn't really any privacy in the bathroom.

"Welcoming pension in the old town"
Helpful and friendly communication with the proprietors before we arrived and during check in. Room was very small but I understand there are bigger ones. Difficult sleeping due to noise from air conditioning unit (either have that or roast), and on one night major disturbance from other guests. A shame as otherwise would have been a great base for our stay in San Sebastian.

"Good location, good price"
Sand on the floor when we moved in. A bit small but does the job for the price.

Avenida de Francia, 21, San Sebastian - Map
"Well placed for exploring all quarters of San Seb"
Economical Hotel close to the centre - was clean and perfectly adequate for a short stay. The staff were friendly and eager to help. The Trains in the morning were a bit irritating (especially the 6.15) - being that close to the station was a downside noisewise. But all in all a pleasant hotel and I would stay again but probably ask for a street side room

"Great budget hotel with friendly staff. "
It was a little confusing trying to find the hotel, as there are 3 of the same in San Sebastián. Location is on outskirts of town, but very close to the bus stop. Regular buses will have you at Boulevard (city centre) in 15 mins. Alternatively, walking to the city centre and old town would be 20-25 mins. It is a budget hotel but the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Gabriel in particular, was constantly suggesting places to eat, drink and visit for our stay.

"Affordable "
Being on my own on a bike I would have found it difficult to find but that may just be not being in sync with the Spanish road system. Staff were friendly, knowledgable and spoke English. Cafe offered a good range of food and drinks at good prices and I never went to the restaurant. Room and ensuite were both tiny but were clean and made up daily.
