Good Hotel - San Francisco Hotels

Good Hotel

112 7th Street, San Francisco - Map
"Good hotel in the heart of downtown"
It's a good hotel. Nothing fancy about it but the location is ideal for exploring the Bay Area. Downtown can get scary from one block to the next. This hotel is on one of the good clean blocks. Public transportation is wonderful around there. Get anywhere in the Bay Area in 20 minutes or less

Monarch Hotel - San Francisco Hotels
Rating: 2.0 Stars

Monarch Hotel

1015 Geary St, San Francisco - Map
"Comfortable hotel close to downtown SF"
The Monarch is a bit dated and some of the interior is pretty old, but the beds and bedding were very clean and comfortable. Ensuite and walk in robe were a plus for us. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Downtown and Fisherman's Wharf are readily accessible from this hotel, but it is on the edge of the dodgy Tenderloin district. The surrounding streets had plenty of homeless people hanging around. They seemed harmless though and a wide spectrum of people pass through the area.

Hotel Metropolis - San Francisco Hotels

Hotel Metropolis

25 Mason Street, San Francisco - Map
"Convenient, Clean, No-frills Hotel"
I regularly return to the Hotel Metropolis because of its convenient location--near the theatre district and Union Square, as well as the big shopping malls on Market St. and the Powell St. BART/Muni station. For a visitor who walks or uses public transportation, this central location is a major advantage. recently I was there for a few days and met friends for lunch, attended a new play at the New Conservatory Theatre, and made a pilgrimage to the historic (1922) Castro Theatre, where you can hear a short program on the original theatre organ before the evening showings.

Casa Loma Hotel - San Francisco Hotels
Rating: 2.0 Stars

Casa Loma Hotel

610 Fillmore St, San Francisco - Map
"Well located and inexpensive"
Casa Loma is reasonably clean and it is safe, but it is shabby and getting shabbier. It is well located for me because my daughter lives quite close. I have stayed there a number of times over the last 4 years. I would not go there for a romantic trip, unless price was the main criterion.

Nob Hill Motor Inn

1630 Pacific Ave, San Francisco - Map
"Clean and comfortable, no frills"
The location is great. We especially appreciated the free parking with in and out privileges. We were upgraded to a larger room. We had everything we needed. The morning coffee and doughnuts was a helpful touch. We needed a place to stay for a 2 day event, and this hotel fit the bill.

You can enjoy the beautiful surroundings and unique culture of San Francisco and still have money left over for some sourdough.

One of San Francisco’s most legendary landmarks, the Golden Gate Bridge, is free to explore. There are walkways on both sides of the bridge, and you can stroll nearly 5 km across the Golden Gate Strait to capture that perfect moment when the San Francisco fog begins to lift, revealing the city. Stick with the theme and head to Golden Gate Park next. This 1,000-acre public green space bears a striking resemblance to New York City’s Central Park, but Golden Gate Park offers a charm all its own. After exploring its lush trails and quiet waterways, you’ll work up an appetite, so why not grab some dinner at the Beach Chalet? Located at the western edge of the park, facing the Pacific Ocean, the Beach Chalet’s cuisine features salads, seafood, and burgers to start. You won’t go home hungry!

San Francisco is a city that loves its food, and you’ll want to sample all of it. Book a 2-star hotel in San Francisco to ensure you have plenty of spending money left over. A cheap hotel deal will leave you with enough funding to head to Fisherman’s Wharf, where you can sample clam chowder in a sourdough bowl, or fresh-caught crab. Fisherman’s Wharf is also the place to snap pictures of the iconic sea lions that take up residence there, as well as find souvenirs for your loved ones.

Make sure you’ve got the funding to spend on those souvenirs (and more food) by booking your trip with We offer the best cheap deals on hotels in the City by the Bay, meaning you may leave your heart in San Francisco, but you won’t need to leave your wallet.
