The hotel is obviously for working clientele. Enough said. The staff was very pleasant and helpful and both the hotel and surrounding grounds was clean and well polished. We stayed here to save from the horrendous downtown hotel prices. But . . . to save a penny, you have to give a little too . . . such driving to New Orleans and time. If you are solely visiting New Orleans it is quite a drive from the attractions but you're near the award winning plantations trail. Beside the "no big deal" inconvenience, the hotel is near major shopping such as Walt-Mart and other major brands. Just make a left from the hotel, over the bridge, drive a couple miles until you reach the main road, make a right, and you are near major shopping and dining facilities. The road also take you to New Orleans the back way and avoids the heavy interstate traffic.

Loved the hotel! Wasn't to far from New Orleans... Staff was nice and friendly! We checked in pretty late at night. Check in was quick! There was a problem because they thought I booked 1?night but I had paid for 2. They found it quickly and apologized. Breakfast was ok...crowded! Need more variety to choose from, but overall enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

The room is very up-to-date and is very clean. The staff was very friendly at the front desk and the housekeepers were quick to clean our room and to grant any requests that we made. The bed was comfortable and lots of channel choices on the flat screen. My one SMALL complaint would be that the bathroom could be a little more spacious as there is not much counter room, but the shower was great and we had no issues at all. LaPlace is a nice little town just outside of New Orleans (you do have to drive across Lake Pontchatrain to get to New Orleans which can be kind of a boring 20-30 minute drive) We went for Wrestlemania 30 so all the hotels in New Orleans were way overpriced, so I didn't mind making the trek into the city as this hotel was very reasonable in pricing. I would definitely stay here again. Great place!

This hotel cost as much as the scary ones, but was clean and felt safe. I was a woman alone in New Orleans for school, and I never felt concerned. The staff were warm and welcoming and helped me navigate the bus system. If you are going to New Orleans on a budget, this is a great way to do it.
