This is a great place to stay in the Quartier des Spectacles. The outside isn't much, it's above a sex store, but the rooms are beautiful and newly renovated. Definitely more than we were expecting. We were in Montreal for a music festival and many of the bands and DJs were staying there as well. We picked this hotel for budget and proximity to the venue, but we loved the ambiance and the lovely rooms. Carole at the front desk was amazing, so friendly and helpful. You won't regret staying here! Just to note: if you don't like stairs, book one of the lower floors, but if you're in decent shape, the stairs are not a problem at all. And make sure to get one of the "superior" rooms. There are some older rooms with shared baths, not for everyone. But the newer side has private baths and exposed brick walls. Better than some expensive boutique hotels I've stayed in. I highly recommend this hotel.

We would definitely stay in this hotel again. It was such a convenient location to downtown and Old Montreal. Awesome value for the price! Would not recommend for families with kids as it is located over a sex shop and in an area with a number of red light type businesses. That being said, the location is great-we didn't use our car during our trip at all and there is a nice parking garage nearby in the Complexe Desjardins.
The staff in the hotel were fantastic and very friendly and helpful.
The room was very cute, exposed brick walls, all very new and clean. The bed was very firm, which my boyfriend loved, but I prefer a softer bed. The only other negative was the lighting. The lighting in the room was terrible. Not a huge deal, but was a bit annoying. The bathroom was nice and had good lighting for getting ready.
Even though the neighborhood has some sex shops and strip clubs etc, it does not feel unsafe. It is really artsy and has a lot of great cafés and restaurants.

This was my first time in MontreaI and when you're new to a city, it's always pleasant when people are nice and make you feel welcome. When I checked, in the guy at the front desk was very nice, gave me a map and took the time to explain where we were and the areas of the city that might interest us. I stayed here for two nights, the room was clean and the size just right for two people. I wasn't looking for anything luxurious or ornate. I've payed more for hotels that aren't nearly as clean and pleasant as this. And breakfast is included!

The owner and the staff are very welcoming . Every effort is made to ensure that the client has a comfortable stay.
The motel has probably been built in the 50's but has been well maintained or upgraded when and where it was necessary .
The cleanliness is impressive.

The hotel as a whole was well above expectations.
My wife and I have travelled and stayed in Motels this was different. It had something which made it different from others. The staff were very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The room faced the water which gave it that little extra. Very quiet surroundings unlike most motels.
We enjoyed our stay though it rained and was cold, resulting in out not enjoying the water front. Next visit to Montreal we definitely will stay at this hotel.
