"I'd stay again."
The hotel definitely looks nicer online in the photos. It is an older building but overall in good condition. The room did smell musty but there was no source of where that smell was coming from. The bed was very comfortable and most importantly the room was clean. There was a microwave and refrigerator in the room which is always nice. The whole reason that we chose to stay here was for the spa and it did not disappoint. It was clean, spacious and felt so good to sit in at the end of the day. Best of all it is open 24hrs. The shower in the spa room did not work, but other then that it was great! The breakfast that served was great, there was good options and I was pleased. They could add some meat in there for those of us that are lo-carb. We stayed with our two young boys and felt safe in the area that it located. I did not see any homeless people and we were right on a main road that easily took us to I-5. I would recommend and definitely would stay again, especially for that spa and the comfy clean bed!

"Good value and enjoyable stay"
The inn is located within a 10-15 minute walk from Westlake Station, which is the last stop for the LINK from SeaTac Airport. I arrived 1.5 hr before official check-in time, but the staff was very accommodating, and allowed me to check-in straight away (I was only going to ask to have my luggage stored while I go for a stroll). My room was on the top floor and faced the street. There was a lot of street noise when the window is open, but it was just average big city noise and didn't bother me much. If you are a light sleeper, it may be worthwhile asking for a room that faces the inner courtyard. The room does get warm when the window is closed. The temperature was in the high 60s during my stay, so it was pretty comfortable when the windows were opened to let air in. The inn is located in a very convenient location, within easy walking distance to many places, including Pike Place Market, the piers, Space Needle, restaurants, and shops. There is a bus stop right outside the door if you wanted to venture further. The area felt fairly safe to walk around alone even after dark, but I didn't venture out very late in the night. The room was very clean, bed and pillows comfortable, water was hot and water pressure was good. That's all I really ask for when looking for a place to stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which is an added bonus. I thought the inn was good value given its location, and I really enjoyed my stay.

"Vintage. Wonderful ambiance. Classic."
We did not get the queen bed that was reserved. We got a double bed. It was kinda tight. The front desk clerk was rather abrupt when we were asking about parking. H-o-w-e-v-e-r, the room was scrubbed spotless. The linens immaculate. The room appointments are vintage, comfortable, and simple. The building is sturdily built from another era so there were n-o- disturbances and fabulously quiet. The restaurant in the basement was excellent and convienient for early morning coffees and evening drinks. We also ate 2 late lunches there and the food was very good. The location is in the center of all things urban and 2 blocks from the mass transit. If I can ever get back to Seattle, I hope the Hotel Seattle is still there and as nice as this time.

Pocket Guide: Seattle Downtown Seattle 2 stars Hotels

Downtown Seattle stretches along Puget Sound from historic Pioneer Square in the south to trendy Belltown in the north. In between, office towers, shopping gallerias, and brick condos line the leafy avenues. The convention center is here, as is Pike Place Market, where salmon fly. Don't miss the futuristic main library. Seattle's twin stadiums and the International District lie south of downtown.
